Clear 2-part resin (which I've read works better than the Woodland Scenics realistic water

I prefer the single-part resins, simply because they're less messy. I started with the 2-part stuff, and still have some on my computer desk...

I've heard/read that they are harder when they cure and you can do bigger pours. Is that correct?

Finally! I got a chance to stop by Chicago Airbrush Supply and picked up the rest of my goodies to make my airbrushes work right. Even nicer is that they share space with a regular art supply store so paint and brushes are available (though I didn't stop to look at the selection). I have to say, It's nice having this resource in my backyard!

Anyway, here's what I picked up!

An 1/4" to 1/8" adapter

A paasche quick disconnect

and a 15foot Paasche airbrush hose with moisture trap installed.

And all hooked up!

Now both of my airbrushes hook up with one hose! Can't wait to start flinging paint!

Ordered the bits to make the Reaper "Pirate vs. Sea Monster" from the Boneyard. What? I had to cheat, it said "0 in stock."

Also, a bunch of dropper bottles, Pure Black, and Pure White.

Just received an Avatars of war Naga Queen w/ Staff of Black Magic and a bottle of Army Painter Pure Red from Miniature Market shipped for less than twenty dollars. I wanted either MSP Republique Red or MSP HD Brilliant Red but sadly, they were out of stock. The Pure Red is a tad brighter than my old bottle of MSP Bright Red (9004 oop) and it seems like it isn't quite as transparent. I'll make a good midtone for my Furisoso Dreadnought, unless I decide to go all metallics... or perhaps demi-metallic...

dsmiles ~~~ Your mentioning Pure Black and Pure White reminds me- when are Reaper going to release MSP HD Solid Black and Solid White?

Finally received my Fate and Justice mini from the Carnivale Kickstarter.

I was mildly annoyed that, due to the shipping cost, I was paying £20 for one not particularly large metal mini.

Now I'm exceedingly annoyed that I've paid £20 for one not particularly large, poorly cast, not very well sculpted and quite frankly rather boring metal mini.

Sigh, we live and learn I suppose.

Trip to the FLGS's yesterday yielded no 54mm but I did get a war hammer Orc dood on war boar for cheap. Miniature market FYI has gazillions of shoamita still. They are on the store part, not listed on the website. I'm sure if anyone wanted one you could call or email them for one. Or message me

Received my "Your Board" dungeon tile making kit from Happy Seppuku's second kickstarter.

I got the Smooth Lava and Slate stamps and molds.

I posted two examples to my WIP ... Treasure Horde atop Broken Column Display Base

Nice setup.  Looking forward to creating a few pieces for gaming and making some bases for larger miniatures or dioramas.
