Saguaro can grow to be pretty tall...like taller than buildings.

Eta: Google says 40-60ft is typical and the record is almost 80ft tall. I can verify that many around here are taller than the houses they are next to.

true, as a Dutchmen I was lucky enough to visit the USA Arizona nonetheless.

I remember there was an accident when a cactus fell on a unlucky fellow who died from it.

These things are huge. Think trees with daggers for branches so to speak.

Got my amazon order of E6000 glue, 1/8 X 1/16 disc magnets(100ct.) and 2mm X 1mm disc magnets(200ct.) delivered this morning. Now I can magnetize the entire Furioso Dreadnought I got last week. All parts that can be swappable shall be. I'll probably have to borrow a 2mm drill bit from work to accomplish this.

The Reaper forums are definitely a great source of hobbyist info. :blues:

The 5th Edition D&D rules aren't terribly complicated if you've ever played an RPG before. Even a computer RPG gives someone a decent idea of how to make a D&D character these days, since most of the concepts, mechanics and tropes are already familiar to them - Character Class, Hit Points, Armor Class, etc.

Picked up two Scene-A-Rama: Desert Plants kits for $8.00 from Michaels. They were in the clearance section.

Included in each kit - 15 cacti, foilage, two bags of colored powder (for flowers), and two spray adhesives. :D

I picked up some stuff from the game store, but I don't remember what. Will take a picture when I go home.

How are the flowers and the cacti in those sets? I keep looking at them but have never actually pulled the trigger and bought one...

The cacti are definitely larger than the scale Reaper uses. Some look usable. I haven't tried any of this stuff before, so it will be fun times...as long as I don't decide to inhale the flowers. :P

Those kits are a terrific value. Nice score.

FRP had a 70mmLOTR Saruman for a steal, so I got him. Along with Vallejo white stone paste and the sand and mud pigment kit.

Edited Saruman is 70mm not 54mm.

I had to order something nonmodeling related on Amazon a week or so ago and snuck in some Microart Studio Mystic resin bases.  They showed up yesterday~! :)

Do painted minis count, at least mostly painted?  I picked up a set of space wolves for warhammer 40k  because the paint job was actually professional looking and it was about 90% done.  Still need to paint a wolf squad and some misc troops but other than that, its well done.  about 1500 points of troops and armor, if that means anything...
