Father's Day has come a bit early to the Eagle household. Bones air-drop came in this past week, and I got to open it when it came:

- 2x PF Red Dragon

- 2x Young Fire Dragon (1 has been commandeered by Myn)

- PF Goblin Pyros

- PF Goblin Warriors

- PF Goblin Warchanter

- Fire Dragon

- Sample paint (seems to be a bubblegum pink)

Then Myn and I had Friday off together, so we popped into Hobby Lobby. Craft paint was on sale so we picked up several bottles to get our paint collection kickstarted. More importantly though, there was an Iwata beginners Airbrush learning kit marked down from $40 to $9. I ordered the last piece I need to get my airbrush going (moisture trap) today along with a vertical mouse and some brush paper. Also bought some more cheapo brushes at Wally World (probably going to hit Michaels Monday or Tuesday and get at least one good brush). All in all, a successful weekend, and we still have Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off together!

*surreptitiously scribbles a note to wax_eagles' rpg group* Buy scrolls of fire protection! Lots and lots of scrolls!

Received a package from sunny England today.  (I know it is typically described a s grey and drizzly, but when I spent a week there for my honeymoon one April it was nothing but sunshine so that is how I remember it).

Deciphering the markings on the package, it appeared that my items from Hasslefree's Spring Cleaning sale have arrived!

Received were:

-Ferrus

-Bohdi

-Sana

-Veda-Ann

-Fairies Wear Boots

Now I just have to figure where in the painting queue to put them.  I have plans for some of them, but that project is a ways off.  Sooooo many minis to paint so little time.

So, local game store holds an auction every now and again.  I found out that there was going to be one today, and I happened to have some cash saved up, so I went.

Hoo boy.  I spent more than I should have.  But I got some amazing stuff out of it.

Warhammer 40K

Something like two hundred worth of an ork army, I think?  I was told afterwards that it contains a mob of lootas, three mobs of boyz, six bikes, a chopper, and some miscellaney.  Also got some sort of human tank that had been converted to orks.
Twenty genestealers (painted)
Lucius Eternal, some manner of chaos space marine.  Has a different arm and is missing a banner, but is still identifiable.
A Carnifex
About fifteen or so blue space marines, two mech walker things, and a tank
A Games Workshop minis case.
The main book for whatever the hell the last edition was.  It cost me a dollar.

Warhammer Fantasy
Pewter giant
Twenty WF empire militia men
Ludwig Scharzhelm, with a huge pewter banner that I'm told weighs a ton.
An empire mortar
Twenty night goblins.
Six night goblin fanatics.
Two Champions of Nurgle
Three pewter dragon ogres
Empire engineer on mechanical steed (pewter)
Twelve Black Orcs
Five Orc Boar Boyz

Malifaux
Guild Riflemen
Guild Guard Captain
Lucius
Witchling Stalkers
Lawyers
Ten Thunders Archers
Electrical Creation
Steampunk Arachnid swarms
Ramos
Lady Justice Avatar
Lady Justice
Spawn Mother
Gupps
Mature Nephilim
Viktorias Box
Silurids
Other minis I couldn't identify (including something that seemed to be made of sticks and debris, something that looked kind of like a humanoid rat, two harpy looking things, and a giant snake).

Reaper
Jana Blackfire, Female Warrior
Mangu Timur
Devin Durhaus, Mercenary
Paladin Initiate
Laurana, Sorceress x2
Lorus Hightower
Aaron the Conjuror
Thuusia, Darkspawn Mage
Black Legionaire, Errant
Nilnh, Female Elf Warrior
Cyndria Stormcaller
Eric Swiftblade, Swashbuckler
Ashlyn, Female Ranger

AD&D
Arms and Equipment Guide
Complete Paladin's Handbook (sans cover)
Player's Companion
Dragon Mountain Boxed Set
Dungeon Master's Screen
A Paladin in Hell
Player Character Record Sheets
Night Below Boxed Set

Random Stuff
Ten Discworld miniatures (Twoflower, Rincewind, the Bursar, Moist von Lipvig, Death playing a guitar, Susan Sto Helit, and the Canting Crew)
Windfield McGraw, from Blue Moon
Some sort of RAFM fish priest
A Mordheim halfling

Car Wars (with almost everything except one of the small car pop-ups) in a box that had actually been run over at one point for added irony.  Cost me a buck.

Three books by Glen Cook (The Dragon Never Sleeps and the first two Instrumentalities of the Night books)

The second book in the Dark Force Rising trilogy

Araminita Station by Jack Vance

A volume of Sophocles tragedies (the book grabs were really random; pretty sure Hat was just cleaning off his bookshelves at that point)

The Legendary version of Boss Monster with all Kickstarter exclusives

Alien V. Predator scene by McFarlane Toys.

And a coping saw, because I saw a goddamned coping saw on the table and it was mine.

That cost me five hundred.  I spent too much, but goddamn.  The minis alone are worth over a grand, and I know a buddy of mine is likely to take the orcs off my hands.

My brother sent me this pic from France:

These are the packs Scale75 graciously offered me as thanks for the review video I actually did for you guys... so this one is thanks to you.

And in good timing, because I soooo wanted to try them, and also promised my wife I would buy no more paints this year

Now I need to wait until my brother comes back home. Early Octuber
