Thanks kay, no idea GIFs were against forum policy...

Neither did I till there was a discussion not that long ago... something about chewing up bandwidth I think (though I could be remembering wrong)

Mmm... with the image hosted elsewhere, and a GIF usually being smaller in size to most high-res images, I doubt that is the reason.

I can think of a bunch others, but hey, I won't discuss with a mod, especially since they are very reasonable people here  :;):

I recently got myself a welder and at $150 less than anywhere else. While not specifically a gaming item, I can now get my truck fixed so I can go to the FLGS more often!

Oh and I can now melt 2 peices of metal together, which is always cool...

Or melt plastic into interesting shapes  :devil:

Supprisingly not as easy to melt plastic. It's a MIG welder not a torch welder. It has to be electrically conductive to even start welding. Though I do have a propane torch for melting plastic...

Ah, a MIG.

If you have once of those pencil-shaped welders for electrical and electronic stuff, and thin plasticard, you can get some cool, alein or goo-y shapes. We once did a cool looking Chaos-infused tower for Mordheim with a short leftover of a plastic pipe.

Disclaimer: only in open spaces, beware the fumes, etc.

Yeah, sorry... weld and solder (is that the verb?) are one single verb in Spanish.

I need to get a soldering iron, my dad took mine when he moved away. To solder little cables and... well... a focused heat source is always interesting  :devil:

Just received my miniatures from the Pathfinder: Online KS.

10 pre-paints from the PFB Emerald Spire promo set and the Reaper made goodness that is the Murgo and Tervin Blackshield combo pack.

Are they plastic, metal, or resin?

Field Report :: Warhound Studios

Received two 50mm bases from his kickstarter already.    They look pretty cool.

Field Report :: Reaper Miniatures

I have successfully made a buddy of mine a miniature painter convert and he's asked me to make him a couple of conversions.  So I've ordered from Reaper this week.

For my buddy:

  • 02537: Orankar, Ogre Boss (11.49) x1
  • 02786: Mash, Half Ogre (8.99) x1
  • 77013: Minotaur (3.49) x1

For my sister:

  • 08606: Brush 20/0 (9.99) x1

For me and other at Paint Days/Nights:

  • 09781: Red Hair Triad (9.85) x1

Field Report Addendum

I picked up some cheap brushes and some terrain building materials at AC Moore when we had time while the dog was getting groomed.

In the last week I have picked up:

  •  77100: Vanja, Fire Giant Queen - extra copy for my daughter
  •  77182: Arachnid Archer
  •  77180: Shaerileth, Spider Demoness
  •  77115: Shoggoth

I also grabbed a $2 jewelry case from Hobby Lobby to sort some bases or minis or something...

Since getting the Bones KS, I'd say 99% of acquisitions have been metal figures, with a smattering of resin.

Speaking of which... I recently acquired quite a few of the RBG figures from one of the first KS and some KD figures (the Male Knights LE Resin's Quad) from a friend. Plan on painting up some of the RBG figs for the RBG contest over at the WAMP forum and painting up the KD figures after I've got the current projects on my desk cleared out... which should be SOON.
