Received in my Rathcore V3 Miniature Grips and stuff... could have had it yesterday but it required a signature so I had to beat the rush to the Post Office at lunch:

Thanks so much for posting that. I'm excited to try these. Can't wait to find out if you like them.

Got an order in from Miniature Market. Sadly the container for the "Army Painter Battlefields Basing: Brown Battleground" was broken in the box and spilled out all over. It made the box sound a little like a rain stick. lol I might be able to salvage most of it. Thankfully the rest of the stuff was fine. Can't wait to try out this small selection of much loved and recommended paints. Also needed to get some basing snow for a while. It should be better than baking soda. Completely forgot that I already had the Lichen Summer Undergrowth. Hopefully it'll look nice on the DDS II terrain.

Last week I acquired the 25th anniversary grim reaper, he looks awesome and I can't wait to have time to paint him (which might be a while since I've got projects piling up.)

Sunday I got vouchers for tours for our upcoming honeymoon in September.

Today I'm going to acquire much needed groceries.

Acquired (finally) today: Latest Paizo AP book & I'm disappointed once again with Paizo.....sigh. I place a order with Paizo earlier this month & I know before I got the email shipment that this book hadn't shipped. I placed the additional order in the side cart to ship with this AP but I didn't get that shipment today. Seems like the order was placed a day, yes a day after the shipment email. No way am I waiting anther month for a order I placed on the 11th of this month.

It's bad enough I get charged early in the month & then 2+ weeks later I get this book from Redmond, WA (I said something about this last month) & no way am I upping the shipping costs to get it sooner. Glad I got the AP as I've enjoyed reading the adventure just really don't want to even look at the book right now.

From knarthex:

A bunch of large binder clips (great for holding slota minis while painting)

A bunch of marble hexagon tiles

A bunch of GW Warhammer Fantasy Orks

Most unusual score came from Daughter Dilvish was poking around in the dark corners of the store.  Poking out of a cardboard box full of news paper she saw a feather.  Investigating closer she uncovered three 6" steel replica helmets.  There were no prices, the new owners had no idea that they were even in the store.  They called the previous owner, Pat, who said that a  sailor had brought them back from Italy long ago and sold them to him for $20 each.  After a bit of discussion haggling, they offered all three of them to me for $45.  They are now adorning my home.  My daughter said that she found similar ones online going for $75 each.  So I will count that as a score.

Oh, and I picked up a pack of poster putty for affixing minis to things while painting.

While visiting my sister over the weekend, I stopped at the Book Barn. Well, technically I stopped at the Book Barn, The Book Barn Downtown, The Book Barn Midtown, and the 4th Book Barn. If you're ever in or passing through Niantic, CT (exit 72/74 off of I95 in CT) do yourself a favor, and stop by.

AAAAAARGHHH!!!!! I hate you!   You totally suck, lol - I've been hunting for Death Masks at the Book Barn and the Goodwill Stores since forever because I didn't want to pay full price for it, and now you show up from out of state on the one day the Book Barn actually has it... :zombie: :zombie: :zombie:

This is almost as irritating as the time Helltown came down to the Citadel for a Paint Day and bought the original Dragons Don't Share that I had been meaning to buy for about ten years...

I found those in the basement of the old location when I was cleaning it out for the move to the current location...

Those and the giant box of ancient Archive Miniatures Starships.

Got some new hobby supplies:-

Vallejo Model Colour Iraq Sand (it's a colour I need for a specific mini),

Mixed pack of micro sanding sticks (I'm trying to put more effort into mini prep),

Extra fine pack of sanding sticks (in case the micro ones are too small),

Tube of plastic putty (seeing if this is better at filling seam-lines),

Pin-point precision applicator (basically a pack of reusable syringes with different sized needles, so I can inject stuff directly into gaps),

Vallejo Matt Varnish (to replace the bottle that went gooey on me).

And no new minis, yay! (I've found a new online hobby store that specializes in military modelling, so there's nothing to tempt me into breaking my 'no new minis for a while' vow).

Is your plastic putty, Vallejo? If it is, it'll work but it takes multiple layers after sanding em down. I use Vallejo brand all the time on my plastic models. Well that & I do like Mr Hobby as well (a tad better but I like Vallejo's dropper bottle better then dipping a ratty brush into a pot & brushing it on.

Pin point app: Take some super glue accelerator & pour it into one. That's what I use. Works better then the misting option. Generally I get the BSI (Bob Smith Industries) brand. It's a brown bottle with a screw cap, has a pump you can screw in. Normally I just get the smaller bottle & pour as I need.

Acquired yesterday but spaced it off, some hobby supplies:

Vallejo gloss varnish 60ml.

Micro Set:blue bottle  (helps decals stick to models)

K&S wire, really thin. Gonna use it as car antennas.

& I finally picked up that Revell Iron Maiden Book of Souls World Tour Boeing 747-400 model kit. This one is gonna be fun!!
