I've actually behaved myself and made no purchases for awhile, but I made one yesterday.  A semi-local furniture store was having a half-off 2016 inventory sale, and since I think 2016 was a perfectly good year for furniture, I picked up a 1:1 scale la z boy rocker-recliner and reclining sofa.  I could have made quite a dent in the mini wishlist instead but these will be more comfortable to sit on.

Technically these were not out of the hobby budget as I've been saving since I moved, but I'm trying to decide if I should be responsible.  I am more interested in this month's 25th anniversary mini than the last, but not quite must-have level.

So today was an interesting day of aquiring.....

Onkyo TX SR353 5.1 Channel 4K Ultra HD AV Receiver with Wi-Fi

(On sale as well....)

And this from Klipsch:

REFERENCE CENTER SPEAKERS : R-25C

(Also seriously on sale!)

The Drow is starting a home theater system.....

And is quickly becoming the poster child for enabling people to by Klipsch audio.....

If you like Bose, try Klipsch, you won't think so much of Bose anymore.......

(Next time you go to the movies, look at the speakers in the theater.... Bet they are made in the USA by Klipsch......)

Mmmm... Onkyo and Klipsch... My dad has a pair of old Klipsch cabinets from the 80's that he uses with his TV, through a Pioneer receiver. I love them. They're end table height, and while they may not be anything special too look at, they're awesome for sound. When he dies, if I don't get them I'm gonna steal them from whichever of my siblings does. Because I've wanted them for the last 15 years.

As for Bose... No highs, no lows, must be Bose...

Went out to the movies with Awesome Wife yesterday.  Stopped off at a few places afterwards.

Michaels: grabed 5 Iris Scrapbooking cases.  They were on sale for 4 bucks each they are tall enough to hold a dropper bottle so can make a good paint case so I don't lug my Impudent Mortal racks everywhere with me.  Also, with some custom cut foam, they should make good cases minis as well.

Joanne's Fabric:  They had a bin of the Artbin Double Deep cases outside the store.  The sign had blown away.  I looked in the storage isle and saw them listed at $39.99 with a 40% off sign.  Didn't want them that bad.  Just before checking out, I let them know their sign was gone.  They told me they were on sale for 7 bucks each!  I cam home with two.  Travel cases for terrain, dioramas, big figures and what not.

Sometimes I feel as if I am collecting storage.

So this evening I was opening yesterday's mail when I noticed a letter from my dentist.  Why am I getting a letter from my dentist I wondered?  Opening the envelope revealed a note which said "Hey, we noticed there is a credit on your account.  Have some money."  Score!  Responsibility you say?  I know not of what you speak.  *whistles off to shopping*

And I made a miniature purchase.  Two actually.  Though the OOP metal dragons are still in retail channels I decided to look at the used market and see what could be had.  Today I picked up an opened Verocithrax,  which the seller said had not been cleaned so I shouldn't have to worry about overzealous mold-line removal taking off details.  I also picked up a Gauth which appears to have been painted to a decent tabletop standard.  I might almost feel bad about stripping and repainting it, but for $25 it was hard to resist.  IIRC he was around $100 MSRP at the time he was removed from the store.

Bought nothing from the KD valentines release.

So if you are interested in KD you may want to hop over there.

I made my save, as well.

Bought nothing as well. The pledge manager is far more important that a few meh resin figures.

I still avoided the kickstarter :)
