Well, as expected, the second box of Arcadia Quest: Inferno arrived today. I really did go overboard - all three dragons, the Pets expansion, and some pairs of heroes. I'm drowning in 1.5 inch chibi fantasy figures!

Oh, well. My 5 year old daughter and my wife were both interested in the Pets.

Also, an Amazon order with an X-acto blade, a brush storage, and a copy of "The Hot Rock", the classic Robert Redford film based off of the first Dortmunder book by Donald Westlake. I do love Westlake, and although Redford is far too handsome to play John Dortmunder, it's still a fun production and the best adaptation of the books.

Just found out last nite that my ex, before she left me, looted several hundred dollars worth of gaming stuff from me & likely sold it on ebay or traded it in for money. This included some vintage Battletech stuff too. So big negative acquisition here...  ::o:  ::(:

Damon.

Ouch, sounds like you are better off without a person like that. Time to press charges for theft and selling stolen property!

Since this is the acquisitions thread I suppose I should post something I acquired today.  Let's see... I picked up a new CO detector so there's that.

I succeeded at my Will Save against the Kingdom Death store. I also succeeded at my save vs the Megacon Games sale (Recon had me rather tempted).

I failed at the sale on Queen Games on Amazon. I bought four (Banana Party, Dragon Valley, Super Vampire, and Mighty Monsters). All four for around $30 with tax. There were other games of theirs on sale too.

not sure whether to thank you or hate you. I love queen games, the games are usually good to fantastic, and the components and art are always amazing. however, they are usually very pricy. I got a around 10 of my list for less than 100 bucks. nice sale.

I also got the first 3 books in the natural history of dragons series in the mail today.  will save made on my KD PM.  stuck to my original pledge with no extras.  (of course I am pretty sure he will open it up again sometime down the road and I will have to reroll the will save but for now, I survived!)

Are there any that stand out as better than those I chose?

Yep, love our Klipsch speakers, have 5.1 sound with them in the great room (in ceiling), have 5 dual channel ones (my hobby room, wife's music room, work out room, master bedroom, and master bathroom) and 2 more out in the covered patio. We have 7.1 pre-wired for the future in the game/media room for when the in-laws move out in a couple years.  I'll get the klipsch in there as well.

They are simply the best!

I defy you to make them distort at high volume!

You can't do it......

Troo troo, they get very loud if you want them to and sound amazing. I listen to the one with airplay from my laptop in my hobby room and it's only up to 15% volume at 100% I'd probably go deaf.

I tried once when no one else was home with an old IGroove system (Think PC speakers with a sub woofer) to make it distort...

I had to stop as it was shaking the house...........

(House is steel framed!!!!)

Cant imagine what it would be like in my bedroom with the bookshelf sized speakers...

(Though I may have to see how loud I can take now....)

Never mind full size floor models!

According to tracking there's a Silhouette Cameo 3 that will be waiting for me at the post office when I get home from work today.

Just a pity that I won't have time to experiment with it until sunday night at the earliest.

(I think I have som terrain files from Fat Dragon that would be suitable for a first test)

I just acquired some new PDFs of 2nd Edition D&D books. I got the PDF of the Ravenloft Red Box version of the Campaign Setting, the PDF of In the Cage: A Guide to Sigil, and The Factol's Manifesto. With the Planescape Campaign Setting PDFs I bought the other day I'm going to need to do a lot of reading.

Finally placed an order for about half of my starting Frostgrave Warband:

03190: Blacktongue, Gnoll Ranger
14079: Ombur, Reven Cleric
03278: Rogan, Half-orc thief
02786: Mash, Half Ogre
09061: Linen White
09280: Nightmare Black

I already have Yagun Oog for a Wizard, so this gets me an Apprentice (Ombur), an Archer, Thief and Infantry.  Halfway Acquired.
