I managed to see Steppenwolf in concert during their 30th Anniversary Tour way back in 1996. I went with my parents and a friend of mine. We got 5th row dead center! It was awesome. I still have the concert tshirt.

 

For those of you that like Canadian rock bands, this is the second best rock band to ever come out of the Great White North. If I have to say who the greatest is...well...I guess I'll have to smack you around some at the next ReaperCon. April Wine is a great guitar rock band with not one, not two, but THREE guitar players! Yes sir! Awesomeness cubed!! \m/

I watched April Wine as an opening act for Styx in 1979. (At the Checkerdome in St. Louis.) You're right; they can seriously rock.

 

But both Triumph and Rush are better, which makes them not the second-best band from Canada, kind of by definition.

I do love me some April Wine, they really take me back to my highschool days, and I even saw them live a couple times, but second best rock band from Canada? The Band, Rush, The Guess Who, 54-40, Tragically Hip, BTO, Blue Rodeo, and yes, even Steppenwolf would like to have words with you. Rock and Roll is a Vicious Game.
