Presented here, with apologies if you've already seen it on the Book of Faces.

A charming little arrangement by 2 Cellos.

Anything that involves both headbanging and cellos need not be apologized for.  ::D:

That was fantastic! I was grinning from ear to ear the entire time. :D The cello work was quite impressive, very cool. I'm going to go check out some of their other stuff. :D

EDIT: Forgot to mention, almost the whole time I was thinking "Those poor bows will never be the same."

Huzzah!

2 cellos is just their band name, not a mission statement.

From their facebook profile: "Official page of 2CELLOS - Welcome to our new fans! Biography Young Croatian cellists Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, known as 2CELLOS, achieved sensational success by taking the cello to a new level and breaking the boundaries between different genres of music, from classical and film music to pop and rock. 2CELLOS know no limits when it comes to performing live and are equally as impressive when playing Bach and Vivaldi as they are when rocking out AC/DC....2CELLOS released their second album IN2ITION in January 2013. The album was produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Deep Purple) and features an eclectic group of vocal and instrumental guests including Elton John, Steve Vai, Lang Lang, Naya Rivera and Zucherro."

Amazon is running a March special on metal mp3 albums, so I freshened up the collection a bit.

Murder The Mountains Red Fang

Australasia Pelican

Legend Witchcraft

Witchcraft  Witchcraft

Volition  Protest The Hero

From the Ages Earthless

Apocryphon The Sword

Opus Eponymous Ghost

Infestissumam  Ghost B.C.

Warp Riders  The Sword

Warm day yesterday, so there was a huge line at the car wash...which didn't bother me as I had a slew of new music to listen to! As a metal fan from the 70s and 80s (I was in an 80s metal band into the 90s), I'm happy to see the resurgence of melodic vocals.

CashWiley, I could like your post like a million times so here I am!

I have been a fan of The Sword since I first heard of them 8 or 9 years ago. They rule.   Have you ever seen a video of Witchcraft? Four out of the five guys look like your typical metal heads just starting out: long hair, old clothes, and very lean. Then you have the fifth guy, the lead singer. Thay guy has OCD nerd written all over him. Trust me. We can smell our own. LOL!

Earthless is a great instrumental band. If you can get past the names of their songs (and the band too, I suppose), check out Bongripper. They are completely instrumental and their stuff is pretty trippy. They have one album that 75 minutes long and is only one song!  :upside:

A couple of newer bands with female singers are pretty good. One is called Purson. They released their first album last year called The Circle and The Blue Door. It very much sounds like it came out of 1970. As soon as I can save some money, I think I shall get it.  ::D:  The second band is called Windhand. The first song I heard of theirs was called Orchard. I had no idea the singer was female until I went online and looked them up. On other songs it is very obvious. I have their album Soma. I am also working on saving money to get their self titled debut as well.  ::):
