Ludo
Alrighty. I clicked through and set up. But it's refusing connection. Double check your address and port. If the address has a colon in it its not right. (The fancy banner lies, its the address and port together.)
pcktlnt
Cool, I have connected. Lesson learned, do not have push to talk button short key to "shift" key...

pcktlnt
Is the server no longer working? --- edit --- Nevermind. :) Edited June 14, 2014 by pcktlnt
NomadZeke
I have other plans, but good luck with the test run. And admittedly I'm not a huge fan of mumble (long story...)I use Mumble because I got a server automatically when I got a game server. For the sake of improving my computer fu is there a technical reason you don't like Mumble?Well, technical reason is that, unless they changed it, you don't have that much true control over the server, I used ts3 for a long time and love it's Linux based and thus how much you can do. And again, unless they changed it, you cannot individually alter the volume from someone else. Walk away and the smoke alarm goes off? Tough. Someone has their Mic boosted and is deafening? Oh well. Could hear a pin drop over someone else's voice? Nothing you can do Edited June 14, 2014 by NomadZeke
Talae
Back in my competitive gaming days we preferred Ventrilo over TeamSpeak and Mumble for a variety of reasons, including quality.
Ludo
So I've decided the chat server is going to be an always on thing. If you want the details, the info can be found here. The infographic in the main post is real time if you want to check for people on. Barring cataclysmic event the info should be good for the paintathon.
