Shakandara
There usually are, however, Darksword figures in the Reaper games store. No idea if there is any reasonable expectation that they would have the Lovers. ~v
Email2085
I've never been to Reapercon before. I've never been to Texas before. So I think it'll be an adventure.
MarkA
It's obvious that you all just need to move to Texas. That way you could just drive to ReaperCon and wouldn't have to worry about your minis in the sky. Bonus if you move to DFW, because then we could have a monthly 'Gathering of the Painters' at the Reaper shop, at which I could slowly absorb many of your wonderful painting skills through proximity / osmosis / assimilation. You can't be in Texas because you said, "It's obvious that you all just need to move to Texas" It should be "It's obvious that y'all just need to move to Texas"

No cowboy hat, no boots, don't drive a truck, don't know how to ride a horse, dislikes country music, dual citizenship (American/Swiss). But I'm less than an hour drive from ReaperCon so pffffft!!

Moderator TaleSpinner Posted February 12, 2015 Moderator Share Posted February 12, 2015 We still get complaints from Texans because our manuals are in English and French, even though the English is first.

Don't know about just Texans, but being a cowboy is all about attitude and how you approach life. Don't need a horse or a truck. Boots might help. A hat would definitely help. But not absolutely necessary. Even a Swiss can be a cowboy

Moderator TaleSpinner Posted February 13, 2015 Moderator Share Posted February 13, 2015 I have owned pickup trucks, have ridden horses, like some country music, own several guns, hunt frequently, but have spent my whole life in WI and MN. I only go to TX once a year.
Moderator OneBoot Posted February 13, 2015 Moderator Share Posted February 13, 2015 (edited) I've never been to Reapercon before. I've never been to Texas before. So I think it'll be an adventure. Same as me! I've also never flown by myself before, so that will also be an adventure, as well as a little scary. The only "big" trip I've gone done on my own was a 9-hour drive from Pocatello, ID down to St. George, UT and back, at night, through unfamiliar mountainous terrain, while it was snowing heavily. I sincerely hope that my flights to and from Texas will be less nightmarishly terrifying than that was. But I'm less than an hour drive from ReaperCon so pffffft!! ...No wait, he's got a point... No cowboy hat, no boots, don't drive a truck, don't know how to ride a horse, dislikes country music, Sounds like eastern OR as well. Mostly farmers & ranchers on this side of the state. On that note made my wife very happy yesterday. I bought her a ticket to Luke Bryan yesterday (coming to Boise in May) for Valentines Day. Glad he's coming gives her something to do away from me & the kids for a night at least.
Loim
I have owned pickup trucks, have ridden horses, like some country music, own several guns, hunt frequently, but have spent my whole life in WI and MN. I only go to TX once a year. I have and still do own pickups. I hate horses with the burning fury of a thousand suns. I love lots of old country. I own many guns. Hunt infrequently. Fish. Been to Texas more times than I can conveniently count; I mean seriously it's like one state over. No biggie there. I've never lived, nor do I ever plan to live, above the Mason-Dixon line. Not because I have anything against Yankees. I just can't stand cold. I do not self identify as a cowboy, or a redneck. I do self identify as country folk, though I've spent the last decade stuck in this city. I'm putting in my vacation time for the Con in the next week or so. After that pretty much all that's left for me to do is to decide whether or not I'm going to try and take classes, and pack the car.
KrisL
I think the Swiss citizenship prohibits you from being truly Texan, you know, 'Murica! Your divided loyalties… I suppose that's the price I have to pay for the ability to shout "I have diplomatic immunity!" whenever someone asks me to do something I don't want to do. We still get complaints from Texans because our manuals are in English and French, even though the English is first. That's probably because they looked at the French section and just assumed it was poorly translated Spanish. Don't know about just Texans, but being a cowboy is all about attitude and how you approach life. Don't need a horse or a truck. Boots might help. A hat would definitely help. But not absolutely necessary. Even a Swiss can be a cowboy Can I be a Cowboy who stays inside there the AC is? And sits in front of a computer all day at work? And has nerdy hobbies? Because, if so - Yeehaw! I also don't own a hat, never had a pick up truck, never owned boots, never ridden a horse, hate county music, don't own a gun, never been hunting, and my dual citizenship is Yankee/Texan. That's my dad's combo as well. My dad is from New York. My mom is from Switzerland. So, obviously, they met in Texas...
