03438: Darkspawn Minion

Here's the first mini in a Darkspawn army I'm building for next ReaperCon. I'm a pretty slow painter, so I've got to start early. Since the theme next year is sci-fi, the reddish base is meant to evoke a Martian landscape.

What a COOL,CREEPY Little Guy! Your FINE brushwork & color selections did wonders bringing out his personality. VERY WELL DONE!

He looks adorable, and kind of hard to take seriously. Like he wants to be evil so bad but everyone just wants to snuggle him.

Glad you guys like the little guy. He was fun to paint, but I definitely struggle with shading/highlighting tentacles. Sad to realize after deciding to field a bathalian heavy Darkspawn army. Guess I'll just learn by practicing.

It looks good, can't wait to see the completed army. Are you going to use this guy as a familiar?

The plan is to use him as a demon imp. I considered adding some wings to his back, but the robe folds would have made it tricky. I decided he is puny enough that I doubt my opponents will have a hard time thinking him impish. All the demon imps in the army will be short and should stand out enough to be easily identifiable.

The main skin tone is Reaper Clouded Sea. I think it was a special color from the pirate themed ReaperCon a couple years back.
