Risen From the Sands - the Baddies

Good work, nice clear colors and good shading. Like the color you used on the beetles.

I'm not sure what color he used on the beetles per se, but I can tell you that the Blue Liner is a fantastic blue-green color that can be taken in a broad range of blue/green/teal shades for purposes of beetles and what not. It is an amazingly versatile shade.

I was actually thinking of painting on a bronze metallic, and then glazing on a green or a blue over it. Blue liner seems like just the thing.

It would be perfect for that purpose.

Thanks for the comments everyone. For the scarab swarm, I used Reaper paints:

Shadow: Peacock Green

Midtone: Sapphire Blue + a dab of Peacock Green

Highlight: Grass Green

Lining: Brown Liner

I used the same color scheme on the pharaoh's jewelry, although I don't think I brought the highlights high enough there.

I also am considering doing my second beetle swarm in metallics as well, so Loim you will have to show us how it comes out!
