papabees
Is that in scale with the Rhino legs? If so why is the metal mini so much smaller than the Rhino mini? In fact now that I think about it that waldo is much smaller incomparison to my infantry figs as well. Very cool by the way.
Mad Pat
The scales are not the same in the metals reaper has said as much. John she's very very pretty, I can't wait. Now what we really need, is a Hedge Hog!! Soo everyone who's coming to Origins should bring their Big Taters and Big Scorpions, and big Despots we'll take over the lobby with a 1/60th scale cav game!!! John Bear Ross
Is that in scale with the Rhino legs? If so why is the metal mini so much smaller than the Rhino mini? In fact now that I think about it that waldo is much smaller incomparison to my infantry figs as well. Very cool by the way. Couple of things about scale. 1. That Waldo is pretty skinny, by any measure, so that might be throwing you off (plus he's only shown from the waist up coming out of the cupola). Your regular infantry figs, though, are going to be much beefier than real-life. You or I shrunk down to 1/60th scale would look like famine victims when standing next to the average mini. The only manufacturer that bucks this trend when it comes to infantry figs is probably GZG, and even their figs have to have some proportions off for casting purposes or general style. 2. The Rhino legs are to scale, but the thing that might be throwing you off is that they are set so far apart, leading you to think that the Rhino will be forty or fifty feet tall. Optical illusion. 3. Thanks for writing! 4. The Rhino was done originally by another artist. James B. put a lot more beef into the design of the Rhino. The Despot was done with the general proportions of the M-1 Abrams tank, with obvious upgrades and design changes (actaully, it's based on the Brazilian Osorio, but who's counting?). When Sci-Fi beef is next to a kinda-real-world design, the kinda-real-world design will look wimpy almost every time. Trust me, though, The Despot is going to kick such monumental @$$ that you're going to want a section of them. And a section of Rhinos, too Best, John Bear Ross

red5angel
not to be an butt but wouldn't it just be easier to make parts to convert an M1 model?
John Bear Ross
Aw, red, where's the fun in that? I wish it was that easy...fortunately, we're all going to get a model that blows the M-1 Abrams away. Wait until this monster gets released. Leech
John, can you release the Rhino at the same time, so those of us who want the Rhino (and will only accept it being delayed by the Starhawk VI) won't be incredibly annoyed and disappointed..... It's nice JB, don't get me wrong, but it's a tank!! You've seen one, you've seen them all in my opinion... I play CAV for CAV's :o)
