Wow, what a great job on him you did Silver! Good looking black hair, gold metals, snow is excellent, browns are very nice, and good looking skin.

Thanks Ub3r, much appreciated.

Nice Job!  Mine doesnt look half that good.

Thanks Kangaroorex, your comments on mumble during the 24 hour paint-a-thon got me to try to paint the snow on the base.

For a second, I read "good looking back hair."

LOL

But yes, those browns are excellent.

LOL, since I personally have no back hair I have never heard that phrase spoken to me.

WOW!!!  He looks really good.  I think the metallics look really good.  As mentioned above the matt sealer will knock down the highlights but you can always go back and just pick out some high highlights after the matt coating.

Your Steel looks really good.  For me, steel metallic is harder than gold.

The black hair is also really good.  Nice highlights..

The gold is really nicely done!

Thanks, I definitely plan on practicing this method some more.

Your colour choices really came together nicely. Well done! I quite like your work on him.

Thanks, wish I could take all the credit but aside from the hair I kept pretty much kept to the color choices from the LTPK5 photo reference.

Awsome. Just awsome. Your sealer and matt may have toned down the highlights a bit, but subtle can have its advantages.

Thanks, I think the way sealer tones down can be used to advantage on a miniature.  Especially to help smooth out blends.

Thanks.  That's a good Idea to repaint the highlights, especially if paint up a mini for transport.  Yup, steel is gonna take some more work to get it feel passible to me.

As always, comments, critiques, and likes are appreciated!

While my painting speed has improved, it will be a little while before I get around to rest of my group of dwarfs. Still have to finish Rasia from LTPK5. Next is Kord. By then I'll hopefully have narrowed down my entry for the spaceship superstar contest.

With so many figure to paint between Bones & metals, I can understand why Buglips took requests on his speed paint thread. I want to paint them all and I'm starting to feel I can do them a little justice. Request would help the decision process.

I've asked several times for requests. I get heavy indecision between projects. Sounds like you have a good plan for the next few. That's how I'm trying to stay focused, by setting goals. Right now it's finish Reapercon 2014 lessons/projects, then I'll start working on ideas for next year's contest. I'm not competitive, but I find the competitions a good way to get inspired and break the cycle of indecision.
