I actually don't think I've seen a painted one ever

ObsidianCrane painted one up as a Drake, which I thought was really nice. I have two of these, and I think I'll probably copy him with my second.

Cool, I just remember googling it during the first red box kickstarer and not finding any painted versions.

That's awesome.

Coincidentally, I was working on an adventure that included a trollhounds myself a couple months ago, but gave up trying to find a fig I liked. Maybe I should revisit the idea with this in mind...

EDIT: Ulp! $20?! (Gilda Radner voice): Nevermind.

EDIT: Ulp! $20?! (Gilda Radner voice): Nevermind.

Ouch, yeah that's pricey; I got two of them for that much in Red Box second Kickstarter. It's a really nice sculpt, though, and in resin, plus he's fairly big; that's a 40 mm base I have him mounted on there (actually, that makes him not a perfect trollhound, they're medium creatures in Pathfinder, but these trolls are huge and I thought I'd fudge it a bit and scale the hound up too).

I know it's many moons later but I was thinking of using this as a Troll Hound myself. I was also thinking of using it as a Hodag, another creature from the same issue of Pathfinder. I used the two I bought originally for Rage Drakes. Sigh. Not enough four legged monstrous hounds out there.

I actually ended up skipping the Hodag encounter when we ran the adventure, but this beast would have been great to stand in for that too. It's a fantastic mini I think, very multi-purpose. The plan with my second copy from the Kickstarter is indeed to paint it up red as a Rage Drake. ::):

Good day everyone, here are pictures of 77105, Kagunk "Voorhees" the Ogre Chieftain sculpted by Tre Manor. This is the Bones version of the model.
I added the axe blade on its spiked club, mounted it on a 2 inches square base and painted it with Reaper MSP paint.

Hi everyone, after sitting five months on the shelf, that being the projet (not me)  I finally found time to complete my Gnolls display base. The base is 7.25 inches x 11 inches wide. Here are some pictures.
Other pictures of the Gnolls can be found here.

Hi everyone, here are pictures of my Gnoll hunting party. All of them are Reaper Miniatures Gnolls, painted with Reaper Master Series Paints. I added the archer's bowstring and converted two models (see last picture).
I will now work on a display base for them.

It has been a while since I painted anything. A combination of my arms acting up again and my just not feeling it. Call it the recurring fallow season.
So I am getting back on track with some Orcs.  These are partly from the first Bones kickstarter and partly from the third. All together a nice band of 10.
There are nine different orcs that are variants made on only two basic bodies, plus a singular warchief that I think fits in with the lot of them.
I originally based them on 40mm round bases with sloped edges, the thinner-than-citadel knockoff ones. But there was always something not quite right about them, the bases were simply too large for the minis. So off they came. I ended up with making 37mm 3D-printed ones instead. I think they fit well on these minis.

      lots of pictures below
