77061 -- Kord, the Destroyer

This is my first finished figure in about 6 months (sheesh, has it been that long?).  I painted it as part of the open/group WIP that Last Knight started.  This was a big help as there are so many fiddly bits on this guy.  Seeing the various paints jobs helped give me ideas on how to tackle them all.

 

 

 

 

 

This was my first time using snow flock, and I like the results!  I will have to do this again sometime.

The mini looks fantastic and your snow works wonderfully, my only critique and this is all personal choice is that the highlight on the cloak is a huge leap up from the next color down I would maybe if my skills allowed put a mid blue between. Again excellent mini and base.

You are quite right; good observation.  I think what happened is when I patched up over the putty I used aftter gluing the cape back on, I did not match up my colors quite right.  It should have looked closer to the wolf face on the front.  Perhaps I can fix this with some more white to cover up more of the dark blue, then a mid tone blue glaze, and then restore back some white.

Yeah, when I first saw this mini, my thought was 'meh'.  But when I looked at the group WIP, I started to see how much better this guy could look once painted.  Bones can be really hard to evaluate when they are unpainted.

Is there some kind of barbarian gym somewhere that these guys all go?   "Hrothgar! You dishonor yourself! You did not restack the weights or wipe down the bench when you finished!"

 

A very richly done mini. The metal on the weapons is top notch.  I also like how wood-like the axe handle is. My only issue is that the wolf pelt is too blue for my taste.  But that's not really a mistake or error.  Just a difference in style.
