Absolutely wonderful brushwork.

I have an observation about the sculpt:

What's the deal with the tiny heads?  This is one of several barbarian sculpts I have seen with tiny heads. Do these guys just worship Thrud and try to imitate him?

Now I have a horrible picture in my head... a tribe in the frosty waste, a group of furclad barbarians, who practice a hideous rite of passage on their young... by locking their heads in these hinged steel head molds, so their heads can't grow any bigger, and finally, when you're a MAN, and have reached a large and brawny size, the shaman comes forth and unlocks the steel head mold... revealing a tiny, perfect, lantern-jawed, small-craniumed noggin, mounted atop shoulders that would shame Zeus...

A very richly done mini. The metal on the weapons is top notch.  I also like how wood-like the axe handle is. My only issue is that the wolf pelt is too blue for my taste.  But that's not really a mistake or error.  Just a difference in style.

Thanks, and to be honest, the blue is a bit of a mistake. :;):   It's a bit too much.  I like high contrast, but overdid it here.  I need more practice shading/highlighting white.  Another figure I have in process is wearing a white jacket, so I'll try to take what I learned from this one and improve.

I think a big part of showing off your work is taking quality photos.  I put some of my process and thoughts on the subject in Doug's excellent miniature photography post.
