77185 Earth Elemental

My take on the Earth elemental. I went with a variety of rocks jumbled together over being one color =)

Really liking your choice to have him made up of a variety of rock and stone types.

I personally like the variety of rocks vs. the one color of rock. 

 

The only thing I would suggest is possibly pushing the highlights a bit more on each rock. Otherwise I think it looks great!

Yea, he's one of my earlier minis [i've been making threads for my better minis that were shoved into my consolidated show off thread]

I need to go back over him and give him some finer detailing

I also like the variety of color. I think my comment would be that his "face" gets a bit lost in the noise without any distinctive highlights to draw attention. (That might be intentional - the sculpted face can be a touch goofy.)

It was slightly intentional =) I didn't want him to have definable eyes, because i imagine someone just casting a spell and the elemental forming out of the surrounding rocks. No eyes would magically appear, to me at least. I also removed his little butt by adding lines to break it up into a less obvious butt haha...it looked weird to me the original way

I really like the idea for this guy!  Maybe I could try the same thing but with bricks, concrete, and asphalt.   An urban earth elemental.

if you feel really adventurous you could add some graffiti to sections XD
