chatting to Rob at last weeks games expo one of the reasons the lternates have been so slow to get done is a lot of their standard sculptors want far to much for this sort of work if its not done at the same time as the original which combined with their limited time means finding new folk to do them

Well... I'd assume that doing the alternates are both time-consuming and quite boring, so it would make more sense having them being done at the same time as the original sculpt. It all comes down to organizing things, though. We now know that Mierce likes to use alternates, and when the next time commisison a concept art, they should already there have the alternates being done, so that they can push that out to the sculptors in the same time. I am quite sure that this is being done with the new stuff that is being made, so these double-work that has been done surely will go away soon.

Got in a shipment of this stuff, heavy on the 3d printed sculpts (Jute and Atalantes). Really some beautiful minis. I keep wanting to stop collecting Mierce since I have such a massive pile...but it's probably the best quality level I've seen in years of collecting their stuff (as was the last shipment I got earlier this year, which prompted me getting the Wihtax unit along with the NK stuff).

Only complaint I can find on a casual inspection is some evidence of 3d printing on some of the sculpts. One Atalantes boss in particular is pretty rife with them, but most it's just in minor spots here and there. On the upside, they are beautifully detailed and the casting looks good.

The last few resins I've gotten have been great.. the metal jutes are awesome too..  I think they are starting to realize that making their resin for advanced modelers isn't as profitable as making them easier to assemble.. Hoping my Egil Dead Hand and Helmed Kyros ship soon, but I got them with other KS's so who knows..

Dude...Helmed Kyros is epic. There are still some thin connections and crazy 'pin this big sigil onto this tiny staff' kinda thing, but overall they look much better. The coifs on the whitax make a nice big flat connection and they're keyed at the shoulder, the chap doing the digital modeling on them seems pretty good at setting them up.
