So what's up with this KS?  It's doing good funding wise, Rob is showing off some cool stuff in the comments but I just don't see much excitement for it nor do I feel that excited.  Is this the rumored KSer fatigue?  I see things that are cool, and that I should want, but I'm not reaching for my wallet.  Maybe because I know how much my house is going to cost I'm finally being responsible?  Nah, I don't ever want to be that....

By-the-way it might be worth throwing down $15 as Rob has hinted in the comments that project exclusive figures might always be available to anyone who backed the KSer they were offered in instead of being timed to the regular schedule.  It would be awesome if it did this, as they're not even discounted really, and being able to pick up one you like, but don't have the money for, a year from now would make me really happy. I really need to spend time painting these instead of just collecting more.

Thats my issue.. i threw in the $10 pledge but I still have all my KS2.5 stuff coming..  there are not a lot i 'have' to get.. and I'm starting to feel the same way.. I have all these minis and am not painting them with several still set to deliver..

I'm still lamenting not having more to pledge here, but I quite understand those who feel the have many 20of 20s already coming so do they need/want more

Alternates are also cool, but if you've got an original version you've got to love the alternate to pick it up too so it's only the new 3 kindred (and the few units like the dynwoccor) that have the full pull of the new

I guess the 'unexpected' monstrous mounts KS has also depleted a number of folks budgets so they won't be in a position to get involved with this one

The alternates worked really well last time as they came with new stuff. Here the alternates are all coming with things I already own so there's no real drive to get more as I can spend $25 to get the alt I want or $150 to get it and a bunch of stuff I already have. I also think Rob is focusing too much on existing stuff, both factions and alts.

Prices are crazy good though, there are several things cheaper here then when I bought them via KS2.

I think that's him trying to make it more appealing to new backers than KS2 was. Unfortunately, he may have gone overboard.

Agreed. It's cool to have starters for all factions, and have some things for those faction fans, but there are more things unlocked in this KS for existing stuff then for the new factions--we haven't even unlocked the monstrous starters. In fact we're going to unlock the second wave of commanders for existing factions second round of starters before the monstrous starters are unlocked for the new ones.

Most of the unlocks have been alts too. I really appears for Rob to offer these cheap of prices then we get very little new things per KSer.

I'm seeing some things here that are worrying to me, a pattern of behaviour repeating itself that I've seen before.

I'll start by saying I'm not telling anyone to pull their pledges or not to back this project, however after reading the last few posts I do strongly recommend people look up the history of the people behind this company who are many of the same people behind the now defunct Maelstorm Games.

It might take a bit of googling, as the decline of maelstorm happened about two years or so ago now, but I recall there was also a thread about it from around the same time over on The Miniatures Page.(TMP). I think searching for Maelstrom fiasco might find it.

Again, I'm not saying that bad things will happen here, but I wouldn't want anyone to be blindsided out of the blue either.

People will have to make up their own minds regarding acceptable risk.
