Xauhaudoom
Hi folks, I am needing to get some new skin tone colors. I ran out of Vallejo: Flat Flesh and Medium Flesh. I am suck on choosing either Tanned Skin and Golden Skin tones or the HD Caucasian Flesh and Suntan Flesh. Any ideas would be helpful. THX! Baugi
The tanned skin triad is my go-to for adventurer types. Depends what you prefer to paint though, I reckon.
MonkeySloth
I prefer lighter skin tones as, if you want a tanner skin, you can just mix any brown into it so you have a more versatile color as a darker skin is nigh impossible to lighten. I haven't liked Golden Skin for humans, works great for monsters though.
CashWiley
Tanned skin is an amazingly versatile paint. I use it as a core for caucasian tones, but also in lots of other situations. Browns, highlights, shadows. Another one of those paints that finds a way.
Girot
That greatly depends on what level of detail your goin for. Are you painting for an army, RPG, or something else?
MonkeySloth
I'm going to have to revise my above statement. Olive Skin tone is the one I don't like for humans. Have had Golden for a long time but never used it until yesterday. It's a nice color.
