Popular Post Jasper_the_2nd
This was my Summer Exchange figure I did for Kharsin. He received it on Friday but said it might be a while before he could post pictures, so if I had any to go ahead and post them. These pictures were taken fairly quickly more as reassembly insurance, in case anything came apart during shipping, so no fancy backgrounds or anything. Kharsin suggested "something pretty" and that he liked display bases. If you look at my usual work you know "pretty" usually isn't part of it, but I gave it a go. I picked out Gabriella as she's a nice feminine fig, but in full plate, so I wouldn't have to do TOO much flesh tones, as human flesh tones aren't something I've worked with a lot, especially female human flesh tones. Orc or goblin, not prob, but human? I'm pretty happy with how she came out. More detail and blending than I normally do, but I think it was definitely worth it. While trying to come up with a base, I kept picturing her on a flight of stairs. Not sure why, but I went with it. The result might be a bit big to be called a display base though....

Jasper_the_2nd
Nice job! Now I want to go build terrain. My wife decided (once I told here for the 4th time that she couldn't have it because I had to send it away) that we have to build a castle next year.

Kharsin
This really is a great piece and I can't thank Jasper enough! I'm trying to find some time to set up my camera equipment. This is an excellent example of great basing combined with excellent painting! She's currently in the display case eyeballing the Fair Spanish Lady. Thank you a thousand times Jasper! :)
