Grrr... seems like it starting to slow a bit.

It's still ahead of the 1st Bones at the moment. Granted I don't actually expect it to end up as high as that one did but it's not doing bad for a more niche product.

Edit: I should add I wish it would blow up like the first two. I want all the mechs, armor, flyers, and infantry. :;):

It will slow... there is almost always a slow down in backers and funds raised in the middle of a project.  Then, at the end, there is an upswing, as new folks decide they want in and the ones who have been in from the start do "fina" adjustments on their pledges to get what they want.  Bid your limit, then go away for a few days...  watching it every hour or so makes it drag by even worse!

Though I hope I'm wrong, I think this will be a much more modest KS compared to the Bones.  It is much more of a niche market and many of the people in that niche are very territorial on what system they use.

Fingers crossed that a lot more people find it worthwhile and jump on board!

Too bad there weren't any zombie mechs... zombies always seem to get the backers out.  Or, even better, Cthulhu zombie mechs with ponies!!!

It's only two days in.

well, the traditional slow-down does usually start after a couple of days, so that's not surprising. Still, even at the current slow rate we should do OK. I mean, even without the expected spike at the end, we'd end up with 7-9 times the original funding goal. I'd hardly call that a disappointment.

Sure, it's not $4+ million, but I can live with that.

Bound to happen in a specialized project like this. Everybody who already knew they wanted in has now done so. Next wave will come later on in this week or next as word spreads via gaming news sites, blogs, then on to social media, etc.

I also think this is just a really bad week to start something like this. Anyone with ANY kind of relationship to the start of the academic year in the U.S. (parents, teachers, college students and professors, educational support staff, etc.) are all in the middle of the busiest week of their year.

I've always jumped in at the end of any previous Kickstarter's I've done so I am unfamiliar with how they have trended. I wonder if the mold for a larger model is substantially more or if say a hobbit mold for bones and a CAV mold for bones are similar in price.

I'm actually more interested in this than I expected to be.  All that's keeping me out is that I literally have no space for these or time to paint them.  But outside those circumstantial issues, I'd be in.

Wow, Bones minis that Buglips won't have.  I predict one day in the future he'll wake up screaming in the night when he realizes that he never caught them all.

My Pokemon mindset died with Bones 2, when sheer volume made it clear my quest was futile. So I've been an inveterate nibbler since then. I am legitimately interested in CAV Bones, but more in the "get at retail bit by bit" kind of way than "big delivery at once" kind of way.

And also, 20 miniatures can be rather a lot to drag many miles to another country - which is also a consideration. Anything I buy now will either have to be taken along, left behind in storage, or sold off. As a practical matter, limiting myself to buying what can fit in the first category seems the sensible solution.

That I am pursuing said sensible solution is no less a surprise to me than it is to you guys.

When do you move? Those minis won't show up for around a year if you skip the early bird option...
