That makes it sound like a stew...

"Thunky Chunks CAVs... now with beef gravy!"

Mmmm! Bonesilicious!

I really wasn't planning on pledging this KS.  I'm a long time BattleTech player, and have a huge collection of minis for that game.  Just last year, I pledged big time on the Robotech Miniatures KS.  What I'm saying is I already have lots and lots of Big Stompy Robots, lots of them not even painted yet.  I don't really need more BSRs!

One-Of-Us! One-Of-Us!

So I had this crazy idea!

I am working out how to run a CAV:SO game that includes taking, and holding, a structure of significance.  While the battle rages on outside (in 10mm) there is a separate game going on inside that structure.  That game would be using Chronoscope minis and CAV rules.  What the scenario ended up being would determine which models I'll have to make unit cards for.

Thoughts?

Would it make more sense to adapt the Warlord rules / stat lines to the interior game?

Bones CAV means I can bring the durn things to the convention with me without the TSA wanting to know why I'm bringing along one small item of hand luggage that weighs more than I do...

It is fun to watch the faces of the people working the x ray machines though.

When I attended Reapercon '14, I was nervous. First time I'd flown in. I'd always driven, before.

I put my bag of old metal (for the adoption table) in my carryon, and when I had to go through the machines, I took it out. Didn't want anyone thinking I was hiding anything, and my first thought was that they'd figure my laptop and Kindle were some sort of detonators, and the metal was intended to be shrapnel...

Sure enough, as I went through the pornoscanner, I saw someone at the X ray machine holding up my bag of metal with a puzzled look on his face. He spoke to another guy, who then took the bag, scanned the crowd... and immediately fixed on me. I mentally sighed and prepared to explain myself, and hoped this would not become difficult.

It did not become difficult. Instead, the TSA guy grinned, handed me my bag, and said, "You play Warhammer?"

Plainly, these days, there are a hell of a lot more of us than the mundanes think there are...

since I am going to have to pay shipping, Odds are I will end up upping my pledge once more things are unlocked and available, just to balance the payment out closer to an even number. Probably gonna be in for the paints anyway and when Nightshades are available (they better be available, I want me some sexy sexy nightshades) I will be picking up a few to balance numbers. I hate Reaper, they always seem to get my money. Just because they have awesome projects, and amazing customer service  :;):
