While I'm not going after a full core set there are a few individual models I like & of course the paints just not enough free cash to get what truly want.

I mean Reaper could ship mine out as last fulfillment & I wouldn't care.

Glad the late pledge manager is a option at least. Need to use the Bones 2 one soon to get a couple figs i regret not initially, just need a secondary email account.

Yeah, I bumped my pledge to very close to max to try and help move past this almost 150k doldrum.

My pledge is relatively close to my maximum. The big question for me is whether or not to stick with a core set, or just assemble a pledge out of a la carte options. I like cheap Bonesium, but I'm really not sure what I'll do with 4 of each of the original 8. :unsure:

Right now, I am assuming that I can find random terrain/conversion projects to absorb some bits from them. We'll see.

I ran a BESM campaign a looong time ago that was basically Trigun meets Escaflowne where their was an "illegal" fighting circuit for mechs.  The planet's rotation slowed to the point that one side was always night (populated entirely by vampires) and the other was always day (populated by humans + other).  When my group and I discussed getting minis to do the mech fights we window shopped the crap outta CAV.  Now that I know more about it?  I could EASILY adapt my setting to have the Ritterlich on the dark side and Terrans, Rach, and a few other races on the day side.  That fighting circuit I mentioned?  The Big Dance.  Man, I do love me some irony.

I have a feeling that if I show up with painted CAV models to actually play some skirmishes I'm just going to forget about doctrine/faction bonuses and combine the coolest robots that I can....

Just upped my pledge to include all the unlocked ones I hadn't previously added.

Those Silverbacks are NIIIICE!

I was pondering racial paint schemes the other day and have been struggling with them, Ritter in particular.  My brain wants to make them Purple but then I think back to Vampire Hunter D and I really really want to get all ridiculous with the vampire stuff.  Like painting bats and stuff on their hulls.

Actually, now that I think about it, I may just go with all anime references for the Rach and Ritter.  My Terrans will get "normal" urban camo and any Adon I end up with will get the High/Blood Elves treatment.  My Malvernis will likely end up looking like Drenai.  Any left overs will get stuffed into my Guristis Pirates baggie.

Sweet, more Ritterlich!  ::D:

Also, the first thing that popped into my head when you mentioned getting ridiculous with the vampire stuff was Count Chocula.  I assume you didn't mean quite that ridiculous...  :lol:

I'm still keen on my "Holy Roman Empire" concept (even if it's stretching the fluff), so I think I'm going to use some of the crests from member states (especially the Electors) as inspiration.  Probably not for the entire mech, since that would be pretty garish, but maybe an arm or leg or something.

Between the Piranha slide transfers and the do-it-yourself potential we can pull off just about anything.  I was thinking earlier how I could pull off something like a kilt for the "Fighting Irish" legion...  ::P:
