Hey, I have until the 15th! I want to make them look good, but I need to be in the "mood" to paint otherwise I don't do as well as I should. The base is nearly complete at the point and the two figures both have at least some base coats on them.

My mood is much less important than the wife and baby's moods.

Hmmmmm have a good one on NMM and OSL? O is for the Mr, NMM is for me. ^_^

Yes, yes I do.

NMM - Tutofig has plenty of tutorials/videos depending on what kind of NMM you want as there are different colors of metals. I personally like TMM better.

TMM - Massive Voodoo and Coloured Dust are the best TMM tutorials I've found.

OSL - James Wappel video and Volomir's Blog

You're welcome!

I have links to tutorials about everything by now. If there's anything you want linked, let me know.

I don't spend all of my time in the randomness thread.  :;):

no you tend to jump around and spread randomness to all threads oh lord of the thread hijack!

Okay! It's official. "Low Tide" is finished! For reals this time. It's done, and I'm not touching it again with any more media, because God knows that this is one project that has tried to undo itself multiple times. What's left is to set up the photo shoot, take pics, enjoy it for a few days (and gloat!), then ship it off to my partner. In the end, I really like the way it turned out. I do a few sporadic WIP pics (I don't WIP as well for exchanges) and I may throw those up on my blog as it's not a complete WIP. I'll post pics after it arrives at it's destination. I hate to see it go, but I'll love to watch it leave.... Crazy mini.  :;,;:  <_<

I finish-ish the white I was painting (I freaking love that page you sent me uber <3) then I take a break and the Mr says 'paint it like white raven!!' I already have an image in my head. I paint the part the color I would have originally, and he agreed, it looks awesome. But that's just the base coat!!

Also, I was a focused, panicked wreck painting the white. I couldn't imagine doing all of it that way. O_O

I really really hope my exchange partner likes this. ^_^

Glad you like that link, David Powell is a new member of the forums here and has that 54mm Saxon in the WIP section that he's working on for the Crystal Brush competition I believe.

I think White and Black are those really tricky colors to do just right so I love the tutorial I linked here for White and the Painting Black tutorial from Massive Voodoo.

I'm sure your partner will love it, you are a fantastic painter  ^_^

Well I ended up with one of the most awesome members and I admire their work. They do some wicked things. ^_^ Thanks Ub3r for the words of encouragement!

I've painted white before but it was on such a novice level (I used white and glazing layers of tanned skin) it worked, but I wanted to try something special.

I had no idea that David Powell was lingering around these parts!! I'll have to give his thread a looksie!
