Life size Millennium Falcon accidentally photographed from the air

Photographer Matthew Myatt was taking aerial photographs at Greenham Common, Berkshire, a former RAF airbase, to be used as publicity for a flying school.

 

Once he returned home and was checking his photographs, he was stunned to recognize a full-size half-Millennium Falcon and an X-wing fighter in one of the shots.

 

Who knew they still built these?

Well for some set things I imagine they'd have to have a set for it. sort of how like the firefly ship was a big functional two story set thing.

Yeah, well, the Firefly sets were built indoors on soundstages. 

This implies they're doing some outdoor shots. And that blue and gray thing... X-wing, or something else?

On a more serious note, that's pretty cool. Makes me wonder if Luke is still flying his old X-Wing around like he did in the last two movies.

I'm still trying to get over the canon dump they just did.

Yeah. Honestly however, I was expecting it. Some of it needed to be dumped, some of it would have been okay to keep, and some of it was really really good. Still it would have been a major pain, especially trying to tie it all in to new movies.

Having everything made of Lego bricks like it was in the Star Wars Lego videogames wouldn't have really worked so well with live actors... Or would it?

I thought 3 was good up until the robot fighters shot robot missiles.  It went downhill from there.  

 

A good movie up to around that spot though.
