Thanks. I was a bit unsure about the crystals, if they would look out of place, and in closeup I see my highlight lines on the edges could have been a little thinner, but at table top distance, they look good enough

Thinner shadow lines between some of the rocks ... or maybe not so dark a contrast.. would have been bit more subtle/appropriate.   I am looking at his right arm here, where you have granite or shale colored rock but have used a dark ?brown? to outline the crevices.  The rocks themselves are great and the variety is perfect.  The crystals just fit right in and seem part of the whole without any effort.

grey liner, not brown, but Yes, I see your point. Perhaps I will hit the cracks with a little lighter colour, maybe mix some grey liner and shadowed stone together.

I like the crystals!  The fossil turned out nicely!  With crystals the darkest color is located at the top, with the clearer or whiter color at the bottom.  The way they taught me to get the thin lines on the edge of the crystal is not actually to use the tip of the brush, but the side of a brush.  Place the side on the edge and skim it sideways to leave the line.  It'll kill a good brush through if you keep using it that way, so do't use your favorite!  Great job!!

I really like it. The "magic control crystals" are cool, as is the fossil. I think I have this mini in blister, but never noticed the fossil. Is it a conversion you added? I like the high contrast. I also like the mossy effect on the rock of the left arm. Is that what you were going for? The only thing my eyes are hanging up on is the raw metal of the base. For some reason, it detracts a little from the overall mini, in my opinion. Great job.

Nope the fossil is a part of the sculpt. It doesn't show up very well on the mini until you've got some colour on it, so it's easy to miss in the jumble of stones.

well, that's easy. He's lonely, but with little understanding of how things work on the prime material plane, he is having difficulties making any friends, as they all view him as a monster.

Nicely done. Corporea's trick with the crystals is spot-on. I have a few cheap brushes lying around for just that purpose.

Maybe put a butterfly on his finger? He looks like he's pondering something already...give him something to ponder.  ^_^

Brilliant! I had actually considered putting a bouquet of flowers in his hand, but decided against it, but that is a touch I can go for....and maybe even carry off. To the greenstuff!!! ~cue 60's Batman scene change music~
