So what are you going to do for the other 47.5 hours you are in Denton? :;):

Really, I'm not sure what most first-timers expect from a Reaper "con" event, but I suspect they form preconceived notions of what it is like at much larger convetions, where it can feel like there is no way to talk with guests/artists at all, let alone have enough time to have a meaningful conversation. Reaper events just aren't like this. If you miss talking to someone, it was probably because *you* were too busy having other fun at the time, rather than a lack of availability on their part.

Also, they are pretty damn cool people, to the last. Don't be afraid to go say hi. ::):

i've never been to a con or a con like event =P I just imagine they'll be a bit too busy with classes and other people for me to really say more than hi

Even at ReaperCon they aren't that busy. That's why there is an artist row. If they are not teaching a class that's where they are usually hanging out. Access to the artists and sculptors is what ReaperCon is all about. ArtistCon should be even more relaxed.

Seriously just because Andy can't be there doesn't mean that there won't be plenty of sculptors to pick up tips from. I'm sure most of the usual suspects will be there; Gene Van Horne, Julie Guthrie, Bob Ridolphi, Bobby Jackson and Jason Wiebe. While I don't have any information on who will actually be attending its a good bet that at least some of those sculptors will be there. That's a lot of high powered talent.

On the painting side, I know that Michael Proctor (Clever Crow) will be there. You are likely to at least find Rhonda Bender there as well.

Yeah, exactly.  I'm the least of the least when among those who will be there.

Good to know  ^_^ I'll try not to be annoying

You won't be, they all love helping people and talking to you.  Seriously, Siri, bring your sculpts and sit down with the sculptors.  They're some of the finest people I know. Wish I could come.

Oh i guess I could bring my rather sad little things =P

Siri, these guys are wonderful to show your work and will help you immensely when it comes to techniques and tips. They won't be upset that you come to ask. Be prepared with questions, have a notebook and pen, and take a lot of notes.
