Also, I saw in the comments where the project creator mentioned prices for additional sets:

 

"Pick Your Bases" level = $22 per additional set

I think that's the single biggest limiting factor for me. I would love to get in on it, but they just don't have enough style varieties. If I was working on the right army right now, I could be all in, but nothing matches what I'm doing right now.

Those who aren't in won't have seen the updates possibly, which limits their utility, but anyway... a new style will be added at 50,000. There is currently a poll among four different styles to be that unlock. You can get to the poll from a link in the updates, the poll is on a forum so I would think isn't limited to backers only. The three styles that don't make it go back into the hat from which future style polls will be drawn.

 

I agree that there needs to be more styles, but I don't think adding more bases to the pledges has been completely pointless. I did not pledge until some of those additional bases were added and the value reached a tipping point that overcame my good sense. ;->

I think I will go Mystic, unless a set is unlocked that has enough variation in its bases. RIght now Mystic could be painted up as desert ruins, snowy ruins, grassy, etc. [the textured 'foilage' area could easily be sand or snow drifts], giving a bit of utilityto those bases

More bases was good for sure. But I'm not basing an army, so I also want to see variety. And that is what they are doing now. So both sides should be happy!

I saw the poll, even if they unlock all of them (which I hope they do) I won't be in. Again none of those will go with what I'm working on. But really, they are good folk and I wish them all the success in the world.

Each time they go for a new unlock there will be 3 randomly selected + runner up from the last poll, MAS have about 20 different options for this style of base, so we are likely to see different options in the next poll...maybe something you are interested in will be unlocked later!
