I really love MAS' bases. I will almost certainly buy them at retail. But...this ks still gives me nothing that either a) I don't already have in Happy Seppuku or b) I can't get in Basius.

If there were a way to swap out bases, I would be more interested...I need more 50mm than 40mm, so getting enough 50s would leave me with many spare 40s and roughly a bajillion spare 30s. I'd find a use for them, but the price break here isn't worth the unused swag.

Basius gives me the sizes I need, when I need them.

As much as I love MAS' product, Basius provides the better, longer-term deal for my needs.

Well I'm interested in this one again after the new unlocks.  The forest bases could be really good for a lot of different larger minis, and the elven ones look really versatile.  Plus at $22 plus $20 on new HS stamps I'm still spending less than one Basius pad.

One thing that was mentioned briefly was that the new CMON bases wouldn't require pinning if you were gluing on Bones, does anyone have an opinion on how realistic this is?

Assuming their material is similar to Bonesium itself, our experience with Bones is that other bits will tear before the glue will detach, in most cases.  I know I've had to cut away bits that I wanted to reattach, if I used superglue.

Factory applied glues are weaker than the bonds I get with superglue, though.
