It's not working for me. My manager is still locked and I'm being charged the exact same "full weight game box" shipping they hit me with the first time the pledge manager was opened. All I can do is look at my invoice or update my address. Is there a special link we're supposed to use? I used the one in the update. It would be nice if CMON would answer questions in the KS comments or through PMs.

what i find odd about the whole thing (apart from the fact they can't get the Australian states correct) is that for the various shipping options they have some very odd weight multiples - to me 500g or 1lb would make sense for multiples (and it's how most postal systems seem to work), yet for EU they've a 2k (4.4lb) multiplier and for NZ they have a 1kg (2.2lb) multiplier. So to make shipping worthwhile for EU backers (excluding Germany) they really need to order 10 sets...I suspect for people wanting fewer sets than that they'd almost be better off getting it shipped to someone Stateside then getting it reshipped as a gift (although VAT and customs charges may spoil that...)

My order is still locked in from the original opening, though I think my shipping isn't out of sorts.  Did CMoN state that you'd have to contact them to unlock the pledge now that the shipping calculator has been fixed?

That's my take on it, since my order is also locked. No shipping refund on my card yet.

I think they are planning to do the rebates on their end without us changing anything. There aren't any options for shipping so it isn't like I could change anything.

Although if shipping were less I might have added another set.

You may be right but until they tell us how this will work themselves all we can do is guess. I'd prefer they tell us.

 that's basically what they've said

'If you have already paid for your shipping, please make sure the amount paid is still enough under the revised Pledge Manager.

If you happened to pay more than necessary under the revised Pledge Manager, do not worry, we will refund you the exceeding amount.'

so if you've already locked it in it will remain locked (you'll need to pay any extra required shipping, and will be refunded any excess)

if you've not locked in just fill in as normal

I think the odd shipping weight bands are just down to the courier their drop shipper uses (many couriers are only set up for packages so don't have a specific 'low weight' tarrif, I know that DPD who is the courier used in the EU don't

It was explained in the Project Update that went out yesterday. I guess some folks didn't receive it.

Greetings, backers!

First, we'd like to apologise for the unforeseen delay in getting the Pledge Manager back up. We ran into some unexpected issues and had to do some significant overhauling in parts of our procedures. Well, without further delay, the Pledge Manager is now reopen for you to finalise your pledge and settle your shipping costs. Just go to https://ckpm.coolminiornot.com and confirm your pledge, paying any outstanding shipping costs. If you have any issues, please contact support at[email protected].

Aside from some actual errors in some of the procedures, the main reason some people were paying more shipping than expected is that this Kickstarter is potentially much lighter than any of our previous ones, and our system was not ready for that. A single base set weighs only 0.2 kilograms (7 ounces), and our shipping cost tables were unable to handle that. For the most part, the tables were now updated to charge shipping appropriately according to these smaller weights. However, in spite of our efforts, there are still some destinations for which the mailing system simply does not contemplate some of these smaller weights:

EU - Unfortunately, the mailing system to the EU only considers packages in 2kg increments. That means a package with 1 base set will be charged the same as a package with 10 base sets. A package with 11 base set will be charged the same as a package with 20 base sets, and so on. So we advise you to plan your order accordingly. Note that this does not apply to Germany itself, which benefits from a flat rate.

New Zealand - Mailing to NZ considers packages in 1kg increments. That means a package with 1 base set will be charged the same as a package with 5 base sets. A package with 6 base set will be charged the same as a package with 10 base sets, and so on. So we recommend planning your order accordingly.

For the other destinations, shipping cost is calculated per base set, or at the most per every couple of base sets.

If you have already paid for your shipping, please make sure the amount paid is still enough under the revised Pledge Manager. If you happened to pay more than necessary under the revised Pledge Manager, do not worry, we will refund you the exceeding amount.

Once again, sorry for the inconvenience. We hope all of you are enjoying the holidays!

Of course we read the update. The new pledge manager does not work and isn't unlocked for backers who locked in their pledges using the old manager. The problem is that what they state in the update isn't working in practice. Those of us who locked in the first time are still locked in at the higher shipping prices and we can't even see the new price. The new manager only works for backers who didn't already get overcharged. If you got screwed the first time you're still screwed. The update didn't change anything for us.

How can we know whether we paid enough or have not overpaid If we can't get into the revised pledge manager at all? We're locked out. We can't get the new shipping total at all. As in locked out.

They asked us to make sure our amount paid is still enough under the new pledge manager, but only people who did not lock in the first time can see and lock in the new shipping rates. I locked in my pledge under the messed up manager, as did many others, and it's still locked. We can only see our existing invoice with this new manager. They obviously want us to check if our old rate is still correct but we can't. They need to unlock the pledges from the old manager first. If they intend to do that they should tell us. Simple as that.

Ah, sorry didn't realise that's what you were asking,

If you owe money the pledge manager will (again) show the orders page with paypal button at the end for you to pay it

and it looks like CMON have now put an unlock button in for those of us who've finished to use if we want to go back in and fiddle with our orders (This feature will be in place until January 10th)

note if you use it all your selections are wiped out and you have to start making choices again from scratch
