Space Coast, FL, but I recently found a group in South Daytona! YIPEE!WOOHOO!HOTDARN!!!!

In fact, I just yesterday joined them for my second session and witnessed my first ever CAV game! The gang meets again in another two weeks, if my schedule allows I'll be there and try my hand at CAV.

In November I'll get 1/4 of an EB Core so I can start building my own Force (I'll be going Independent for now) with the rest of my part of the Core next Summer. I will also, early next year, be using the Pledge Manager to add to my $1 pledge to start the building of the rest of my Forces! WOOHOO!

EDIT: Oh, I forgot . . . BIG STOMPY ROBOTS!!!!

I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread . . .

Kansas City area (Kansas side)

Total n00b to CAV.  Looked at the CAV: SO KS on a whim...$300 later I'm in for 2 core sets (one an EB) and a slew of extras and add ons.  Found a "package" deal on eBay for CAV1 and 2 books for the "fluff".  Frankly, that's what nailed me for the KS.  Downloaded "Heavy Words" from the Mil Net site and I couldn't stop reading it!

Love the fluff.

Not sure if there's anyone playing up at the Asylum anymore, we've not played there in years. We had a pretty active group here then.

Be interesting to know what's going on in ReaperHQ (Denton) for this.

But since that's a good drive, I'm in Dallas.

Just got involved via the kickstarter.

Bakersfield, California here. Not too far from LA or Fresno if a group is already established. Have several friends here who are in on the KS and a FLGS willing to support us if there is enough intrest so looks as if we will have a fair sized group here once the minis come in and the SO rules release.

I was thinking of starting them off with CAV2 but the rules are very rusty for me as I haven't played it in years and don't want to confuse new players by teaching one rules set only to have to change it when the official rules come out.

Thogrid; i'm reading Heavy Words right now as well. It is really very good. I find myself immersed in the story instead of just reading it. Too bad there was never more fiction written. It is a very in-depth universe from what I have read in the JoR 1 and 2 and the free stuff from Mil-Net.
