I love your sculpting style!  This is the sort of thing I love to sculpt and you nailed it!  Now I want to know if it will be available for purchase somewhere.

As for the painting, that is a fantastic technique.  I've personally been playing more and more with glaze effects and want to use a similar concept when I attack the wyvern I sculpted a couple years ago.

Thanks for sharing your amazing work!

That is an excellent wyvern also. It practically screams for painting in this style. Doing each scale highlight will be a bit of a pain but you probably do careful edge dry-brushing to accomplish the effect since the scales are raised. The ones on the fish are cut in so drybrushing doesn't really work.

*throws down brushes* This is superbly delicious! Both a beautiful sculpt and a phenomenal paint job! Those transitions are gorgeous! I like to play around with glazes, but haven't really messed with inks yet. This makes me feel like I'm missing out... LOL! Awesome job!

Better pick up those brushes then :)  The way I painted this figure is actually pretty easy to pick up once you get used to how the ink behaves, and especially using the matte medium to change its consistency for washes and glazes.

Here is a link to the ink. Liquitex makes the ink and the matte medium.

There is also some Golden Fluid Acrylics used here, mainly the very dark red and the yellows. Translucent color is the key to keep the white undercoat showing through.
