Yellow-gray appears to be the answer.

I have been told white to hold details better.
White now? *grumbles* which is it??

I'm not the voice of experience. But the white answer was from someone who has made bases. With the hobby lobby coupon it's easy to try both I suppose. My guess is both will work fine probably.

I'll have to put that on my amazon wishlist to remember it.
7.99 at hobby lobby + 40% off coupon

Good call, I'll just get both kinds over the next couple months. Not like I won't find a use for them and with 40% off it's super cheap.

Every time I go into Hobby Lobby I at least get a bottle of Vallejo paint at 40% off (well two, my wife gets one also) if we get nothing else.

I love their weekly 40% coupon

*sigh*

Yet another amenity that Hawaii is lacking.

I think they might do it online?  But then shipping to Hawaii could be nasty I suppose.

Hawaii has other amenities to make up for it though....

None spring to mind. No Five Guys, no Michael's, no Hobby Lobby, no Golden Corral, no Sonic...should I keep going?

Shipping a 1 pound package to Hawaii from Colorado is only about .50 more. So not terribly expensive.

And I did find the 40% coupon on the website for online easily.

The white is Fine grade, the yellow is a Medium grade. When "sculpting" bases I prefer the yellow or medium grade. This is also the best grade for making the filling slurry for filling pinprick holes in a metal or resin mini. I wouldn't be surprised at all that the fine grade would hold detail better when "pushed" into a pad and capturing detail, but don't even bother trying to mix into a filling slurry.
