Have they put the higher Res pictures on their website yet?

Looks like they are in the process of getting it all up there.

I'm still on with getting the BIG images out to you peoples too - I thought I'd nailed it at about lunchtime - but if you click on the boxes on our website the images that expand don't expand very much!! webbuilding is a tricky old game.... I'm still on with it tho and you will have BIG images soon. If it doesn't work I will release them as individual updates for people to see that way (where you right click, save the image files and look at them full size on your own PCs etc).

Ive a couple more ideas to try on the website building side of things before I give up and do that method tho! :)

They should give us a rough estimate on shipping based off the different weights of the 1-10 stamp packages.

That would be nice. They have the Imperial pad already made up. All they need to do is package it, take it to the post office, have it weighed, and give us a rough "shipping cost per pad" estimate.

Exactly my thoughts as well.

Mantic is handling shipping for them. I guess their line of thought is

another British company - good partners of ours (friends?) - a lot more experience in shipping internationally (maybe even international partners so VAT can be avoided) => Mantic should do it.

For their own Kickstarters, I felt it was quite reasonable what Mantic was asking.

Right, but we, as the consumers, have the right to know in advance. If shipping is expensive, and many people can't afford it, Wargames Bakery should know as soon as possible.

If ROW people have to back out at the last minute because of shipping, how does that affect the kickstarter and the company?

Unless shipping is 20%+ of my total order, I'll stay in it. I know they'll weigh quite a bit, that there'll be exchange rate, and it's shipping from overseas with tracking/insurance more than likely. So I'm expecting to pay around $30-$40 for shipping as a rough guess for 6-8 stamps.

Also waiting to find out about shipping before I actually pledge, but chomping at the bit to do so.  Unless they are grossly incompetent or disorganized, the folks running this KS are probably working as fast as they can to get us shipping rates.  It's in their best interest to get this information to us, so I doubt they're dragging their feet.  I would also like a ballpark estimate in the meantime, but there are risks in doing that.  Obviously, underestimating will lead to much anger and vitriol directed their way.  However, overestimating by a large margin just to be safe risks people being scared off and dropping their pledges or to not pledge at all, and possibly never coming back to check when the actual rates are published.

It may seem like a simple procedure of packing the pads and weighing them in order to determine shipping costs, but the fact that they're subcontracting this part of the process to another company (Mantic) probably increases the complexity several times over as they probably have to negotiate pricing and other things with Mantic for the work involved, among a dozen or more other details that aren't known to those of us not directly involved.

So, as the Brits say, "Keep calm and wait for details." (or something like that)
