I really like their products they're having here, pretty cool and detailed...I would WANT about 8 of them, but can only afford 2...maybe 3...which is presently not worth it for shipping IMO....3 would be if I could combine with another and hit the 10 level. Imperial is cool, as is steampunk...maybe  forest...possibly plaguelands since forest can be made with basing effects easier...Hex would be cool but I don't have enough of the Sci-fi reaperminis yet to warrant such an investment.

Someone who is only ordering a few should talk to you NZ and combine orders to save money for both of you. Even with shipping across the country it's less expensive for both people, especially if you do a little figure exchange between friends. I do figure exchanges with other friends on here sometimes as they are fun to do for me and keep me motivated.

Is anyone here a fan of the "hall" idea? We're going to get Dwarven, Elven, Norse & Warmaidens. I'm not seeing a lot of excitement about these and what we've seen so far looks pretty disappointing. If all these will be is a nice version of a hall on one side and a ruined one on the other. It may be better if they combined two into one like Dwarven and Elven and Norse and Warmaidens.

Not enough images of them to say yes or no. They may blow my mind or they may be pretty meh. Either way, I already have my 6 pretty solid right now, so in order to break into that top 6, one of these would really really have to be good.

Until I saw elves I was excited by the idea... I was kinda hoping for some mystic type bits (like c'mons mystic bases) some foresty stuff... and some ruins & nice smooth stuff.... but from what they have shown it doesn't meet my hopes....

Really the best we can all do is reserve judgement until we've seen the rest of the stamps and what they have, not like we have to pick right this very moment with over 2 weeks to go. They still need to get them back in hand to even show us pictures for quite a few.

Regarding the Halls- I'm not to terribly excited about them. The tiny teaser we have is just not my cuppa. I can't envision what the other side would include. Seems to me dungeon and sanctuary pretty much take care of hall themes. Of course, they could turn out to be amazing.

Just watched the video- These things are huge! And Awesome!

Based on the update it sounds like its to late to do something like that anyway, all the sculpting has been completed.

I understood that was the case. I just hope they have more diversity in those pads than the preview pics suggest. If it turns out to mostly be one nice side and one ruined side then dedicating a seperate pad for each style might have been a miscalculation and a missed opportunity.

I'm starting to feel ok with not being able to afford more than two. I think Basius3 may have some improvements. Wargames is getting a lot of feedback.

As nice as I think these are, my wallet trembles at the thought of Basius 3. We shall see. They are getting a lot of cool backer ideas.

*goes to look*

They're just close ups of already revealed bases

Booooo...

Those are some fantastic ideas. I really like the Victoriana cobblestones and the waves/sand I just would never use the train tracks, hmmm...

Never say never, I thought the same thing but realized that train tracks can come in so handy for anything steampunk, CAV, and all sorts of other miniature painting goodness.

Indeed! But it's still exciting to discuss the merits of all the base pads so I know what's going to provide the biggest benefit b/c sometimes other people think of things I didn't....wooden dungeon door!
