Nice write-up comparison!

Thanks. @[email protected] The Original write up was glorious. :( Not sure where it went. Glad it was insightful though.

I simply can't thank you enough for posting that. When I went to quote you it didn't show the Seppuku or CMoN part but I think your assessment of each company's pros and cons is rock solid. If you already have blank bases and putty this as good an option as it gets. Heck, we could probably base most of the Bones dragons with the Basius pads! Gonna have to change up my pledges.

I may still get that Mystic set though. It's a charming set for elves and I don't have a thing for them. Æ¸ÌµÌ¡ÓœÌµÌ¨Ì„Æ·

@CorrallineAlgae, nice butterfly!

Personally I think that Basius  and Happy Seppuku both have their uses.  Basius is better for those delicate details, but the Happy Seppuku stamps are more flexible.  I can glue a Bones mini with it's integral base directly onto a plastic base, fill in with putty and use the HS stamp to give some quick texture to the putty.  So for quick jobs or basic textures they rock.  I'm not super-thrilled with the accessory stamps, that sort of thing is where Basius had the edge, their stamps look more detailed and have better fine details.  So really I just wish they'd spaced these kickstarters farther apart, because I'd like to have both.

Same here. Honestly, you may be able to get both if you pledge for the Basius set and wait for a big sale from Seppuku. I can't get both either so I'll be going that rout. The big savings through Kickstarter is with Basius. HS supposedly runs nice sales a few times a year. They both look so useful.

I went ahead and pledged for Basius and lowered my 4 set early bird with CMoN to a single set. I wish I could get a couple of stamp pads from HS, too but thems the breaks. (≖_≖ )

I wonder if bonesium bases are as impervious to slow and low heat as bones are.. you could bake the putty right on the base that way.. *ponder*

Are the bases from Bones II made of Bonesium? :huh:

Reaper's other plastic basis are more classical hard plastic, including the ones they've manufactured at home in Denton. I'd check before you start melting them.

As for this KS, I haven't caught up on this thread fully, but can anybody explain how their stretch goals work to me? I see lots of textures listed, and I see locked/unlocked, but I don't see how much funding is required to unlock them. It's possible that I'm just blind. Or possibly blinded by their eye-searing web design.

They are pretty chat heavy,which is good and bad. Good that they are extra social with us, but bad because chat can go fast and you can miss stuff. Next unlock is at 10 grand I think. Three stamps have been u locked so far. Uhhh...which ones.....dungeon, Norse and... Victorian!

Our Bases are made form the same material as our current bases found in Warlord, Pathfinder, and Chronoscope products - hard, black plastic.

I believe that Samurai Jack was referring to some potential future Bonesium Bases that would be textured and styled,  but have never been officially announced, and at this time is pure speculation.

Also, everyone back on topic please.

For unlocked bases it says: Imperial, Battlezones, Mountain, Forest, Kings of War and Warpath. At least that what it shows in this chart:

It's so hard to read but those are the ones that have "UNLOCKED" next to them.

I asked them for a LARGER chart so that we can actually read it.  He said he would get on it tomorrow.  Especially on the mobile device reading this is pretty much impossible.
