It's not cheap. At least not if you're only getting one or two. But in the LONG term? Yeah...I probably won't ever have to invest in scenic bases again. Unless I need something specific for an army that's already got scenic bases. Which is doubtful.

I bought 8 resin scenic bases for my wolf riders and chaos knights ... they cost about $12 and are very similar with hardly any interesting "fluff" on them.

I bought a couple of scenic forest bases for my wood elves ... they have so much fluff (dead trees, roots etc) on them, that it's almost impossible to put the mini on them.

I guess these pads here solve all these "problems" nicely.

Oh ... and the pads are big enough to maybe even "base" a large, large monster ;)

You're right this really is ideal for those doing armies even if its just in for those 20-30 figure skirmish range games. For example the bases I really like for my Marines are 10 for $10 a good price, except that I need a significant number of 50mm bases as well that run $5 a pop. Now $10 for 10 sounds good till you have 100+ single miniature stands to do. Now I'm over a hundred for bases alone and the 20 50mm bases is going to run another hundred dollars. With my emphasis is on armies, whether in than 20-30 range or the 200+ range, these will save me a lot of money in the long run for bases. Off the top of my head I have 200+ WWI Marines and I'll probably end up doing some Germans to face off against them and then there are almost 200 Amazons coming from the Croc games kickstarter. Yea, this is a good option for me.

I'm also thinking that the Forest could double as Swamp, and that would get me a stamp to re-base my Blindwater. Now if we can just unlock that Homestead plate...
