Wintreborne
Has Reaper considered making figures for the various "space opera" RPGs out there? I am not thinking anything specific like Darth Vader or Stormtroopers but "generic futuristic guy with blaster" or "robed figure with lazersword" comes to mind. Is there any possibility for this kind of product line?
ladystorm
can be found on this page of greens. I can't say for certain that this line will happen but I am very optimistic. cher
Lars Porsenna
I would love, LOVE, LOVE to see a generic line of SF type figures, done to the same standards as the fantasy lines. I would definitely invest in them. I would also love to see an active line of figures to support the SF RPG Fading Suns, but that's a small fish. Anything that's adaptable, though, would be awesome...! Damon.
red5angel
I'm with lars, especially a generic line that has more then space marine and gene stealer ripoffs. Ideally I'd like to see aliens of all sorts, some minis like what wintreborne describes, all sorts of crazy things, not just a bunch of guys in power armor. right nowit seems all anyone wants to make for sci fi are military oriented minis and it would be nice to see something else out there. Black Lightning 2
Hey... There he is. Spandex Man. I was wondering where he went.
Crusoe the Painter
WestWind's COBALT line has lots of Pulp-Space Opera style SF figs. The sculpting is not spectacular, but they paint up well.

Ironworker
I would love to see either a CAV oriented 28mm line or a generic Sci-Fi line. Star Wars is about the only RPG I ever play. I do manage to convert a few reaper minis for Star Wars but unfortunatly most of my conversions are either 40K or Void based. I would sure like to see some more alternatives especially of the quality shown above.
Dragon Snack
You can check out the Future Wars line from Mark Copplestone. Not really SW-sy but some of them have blaster rifles, too bad I've never seen them in stores.
Ghost Rider
You can check out the Future Wars line from Mark Copplestone. Not really SW-sy but some of them have blaster rifles, too bad I've never seen them in stores. I just picked up a bunch of Future Wars tanks and vehicles in the bargain bin at my FLGS. That's the only time/place that I've seen them.
Leech
I've seen some of Mark Cobblestone's sci-fi minis and they're very good. They paint up very well as well.
Barronmore
I talked to a reaper rep last year at GAMA and he said that they were planning a line of Sci-Fi figs for the various RPG/Mini games out there. He told me that they should be ready (itleast to reveal) late last year, but apparently there has been a hangup. I'd love some good looking, solid Sci-Fi mins. Unless you want GW or I-Kore figs, they are few and far between. I'd love reaper to take up the slack in the Sci-Fi department and let us have great looking min's at a great price. siefertma
The topic of miniatures came up on one of the Traveller message boards and there was a large degree of agreement that the company that should be doing miniatures for our game would have to be Reaper. I would love to see them do Vargr/Aslan/ Imperial Marine in Battledress/ basic human adventurer figures. Since they do CADD for their CAV line, they could also do a pretty good job rendering some of the ships too. Sadly, the last effort to get a Traveller mini line failed miserably last year, and Marc Miller doesn't seem to have either the money or desire to produce a new line of figures. Ranger Man
As has been mentioned in previous topics/threads here, there is a need and demand for across the board SciFi minis. I have some old late 70's-early 80's minis that took advantage of the Star Wars theme at the time. They were great for their time and still are good but there is always room for more and better minis. I would like to see aliens, soldiers, adventurers, Good Power Armor soldiers (slightly biased), mercenaries, etc. With the obvious improvements in quality and detail that has developed since then, I believe there is a market out there. Reaper could put out a wide variety and types of SciFi minis to match the types and numbers in their fantasy line. rm
