October 2014 Painting/Hobby Goals

Recommended Posts

Tomorrow starts another month, which means more goals for us to attain!

For me:

  • Paint up the 5 figures that I have on my desk for the Queen's Hand - we are on hiatus from that game for 2 months, so I'll put them aside for a bit.
  • Paint up my Fall Figure Exchange piece(s) - Currently my WIP
  • Work on the Space Dragon Diorama pieces a bit - have been working on the obelisk.
  • Start work on a "Companions of the Hall" diorama for my brother (7-8 figures) - trying to get it done before Christmas and also enter it into a competition online - still waiting on some figures that I ordered to really get started on this.
  • See if I can start on the Giant's Contest for the end of the year.

Hm...Lots of things to do this month! For this week, I think:

Garr, War Dog

2x Goblin Wolves

4x PF Goblins

1x Villager

3x Child Villagers

and start working on on or two NPCs.

I'll decide what to do the rest of the month next week, when my Reaper order and my Seppuku stamps arrive (plus whatever I get at Pat's)

1) Fall Exchange Mini

2) ....

Uh...

uhm...

Hum, I suppose I don't really have any pressing needs at this juncture.  I'm sure something interesting will come along.

3) Finish the Pathfinder goblins hiding somewhere on the shelf of shame.  They've been up there long enough they've probably pitched a tent and set up camp.

In all seriousness, my goal is to finish the five figures I'm painting for the latest Bones v. Metal challenge. I noticed a major 'loophole' difference between the metal and bones version...after I'd prepped, primed and base coated the figures. This little snag cost me some panic time as I wondered what I should do next. I have made some delightful progress over the past few nights and am excited at the prospect of finishing 5 figures at one time! The whole point is to paint them up and offset the differences, so I'm just moving forward.

After those are done, I'm starting on one of my ReaperCon entries which popped into my brain the other day and is growing like a weed of inspiration.
