October 2014 Painting/Hobby Goals

Goals:

Relax:  Still not happening.

 

Finish my 77178 Fire Giant Warrior. 

 

Finish my 77038 Hell Hound I started last night.

 

Paint my ancient workshop that shall not be named Big-Hatted Chaos Dwarves.

 

Paint my self-sculpted Chaos Dwarf Warrior.

 

Sculpt something, make molds of my custom CD shields for personal use (for reference I plan on making a fire, demon-head, skull with beard, and arrow shields).  Scratch build some things.

I hope to complete one mini this month. We are starting a new DnD game at lunch at work. I figure I ought to try have a painted character for that.

 

I have Azrin, female dwarf barbarian, base coated for tomorrow's opening game.

I used to play MtG at lunch - we had up to 4 players at the Life insurance company I worked for.  

 

anyway goals for October: technically 7 guys hmm

1. finish cloud giantess 

2. finish Kord the destroyer 

3. vampire 

4-7 TBD

1) Complete 6 character models that are outstanding

2) Complete fish men

3) complete colossal giant skeleton

4) sculpt a simple black pudding (to create my first two part mould)

5) undercoat more khador infantry and solos 

6) Continue khador infantry rifles paint scheme creation

 

7) Finish Kagunk Ogre model

1. Paint royal wrecker.

2. paint ghost king for ghoul bad ugly contest.

3. paint Dr. Diana.

4. convert and paint nativity sheep into Ram familiar for D&D.

5. Paint Esme.

6. finish painting squad of Skavens. (5 of them)

7. Paint operation Ice storm Pan-oceania (3 remaining)

8. Stuff I probably won't get to (battle for alabaster, icestorm nomads, remaining Vampire bones,

Goals for October:

1. Absolutely give up on my goal to paint all of my minis before my Bones II shipment comes.

(Not going to happen)

2. Finish painting every sculpt my genius brain painted part of, by the end of the month.

(That'll be 55)

Here's the crazy part. Due to a change up in my job title and responsibilities, this is possible.

Yes, that's right. I found the holy grail.

(What took me so long to come back to the forums, getting on the team.)

 

Edit: Unexpectedly got five skeletons done tonight, by 05:25 MST

50/55 to go.

Well intentioned plans to paint are on hold with RAC Trophy construction and various prep work for that.

Maybe I can paint a smidge during breaks over the weekend, however RAC.

Update:

77178 is 90% done.

77038 is 66 2/3 % done.

Painting on the Big-Hats is going... ishly. 

CDW has paint on it. 

 

Sculpted some armatures.  Molds are still pending.

 

Added:

Lay paint for the Terrifying Fall contest.  Not finish, but start.
