October 2014 Painting/Hobby Goals

Would anyone want me to post my collection when it is done?

I hope to complete one mini this month. We are starting a new DnD game at lunch at work. I figure I ought to try have a painted character for that.

 

I have Azrin, female dwarf barbarian, base coated for tomorrow's opening game.

Well intentioned plans to paint are on hold with RAC Trophy construction and various prep work for that.

Maybe I can paint a smidge during breaks over the weekend, however RAC.

much to my delight, I was made to sit and paint by Clever Crow, Wren, and dks. It ended up being a 3:1 hands on paint lesson so my Azrin is tabletop complete for our next game tomorrow.

Also, they gave me homework.

3) Finish the Pathfinder goblins hiding somewhere on the shelf of shame.  They've been up there long enough they've probably pitched a tent and set up camp.

Well, at least I got the exchange mini done.    It's base is taking forever because I decided to try out every slow drying thing I had on it, but the base wasn't a part of my goal so I'm good, right?

Get a decent bit further on the Savanah

Prep for some CAV Early Bird goodness by picking a paint scheme.

Maybe some more on poor Elise. She only gets the brush during Halloween it seems.

Tanks. Yeah. I washed them really good. Don't think that counts.

Decent bit. Uh... one session counts as decent. Sure. Let's roll with that.

Oh, buying Sand and Woodland Light Green Krylon ultra flat Fusion spray paint counts as a paint scheme, right?

Poor, poor Elise. Maybe next year. She's got 12 chibi Trick R Treaters ahead of her in the queue now.

 

I did make two poster sized iPhones and a foam board sniper rifle. All Halloween costume related. Here's hoping that November looks better for painting. Oh wait. Thanksgiving's at our house this year, and the house itself is a bit of disaster area. Whelp. We'll see.

October targets:

1. Paint royal wrecker.

2. paint ghost king for ghoul bad ugly contest.

3. paint Dr. Diana.

4. convert and paint nativity sheep into Ram familiar for D&D.

5. Paint Esme.

6. finish painting squad of Skavens. (5 of them)

7. Paint operation Ice storm Pan-oceania (3 remaining)

8. Stuff I probably won't get to (battle for alabaster, icestorm nomads, remaining Vampire bones,

Since I have no time to paint any more this month I guess it is time to post my totals.

Also painted three things not on the list halloween witch mouseling, Coraline Thadington, and a snake with an SMG.

 

For a total of 17 things painted.

Well, October was a bit weak for a number of reasons from a production point of view and sticking to my list. I've suffered terribly from hobby diversionism.

 

Too many new pretties!!

 

But I did complete several half finished character models so they're off the shelf of shame. Also scored a few more points towards other bits ;).

 

 

Next month I'll complete the colossal skeleton and Kagunk as well as a few other bits.

Good news! I made my painting goal.

Bad-ish news: My goal to get all of my Bones I figures painted by the time my bones II shipment arrives?

Impossible. I found a large box I hadn't started on!

 

Looks like for November I will be back to the drawing board.
