I'd like to mention that I admire your courage taking sculpting commissions. I have spent all my life developing different fine arts skills like drawing, painting, and sculpting. It's always been a passion and a love of mine. But very rarely have I ever taken a commission and when I did I really disliked the pressure of art for money. It's one thing to create a work and put it up for sale, but a totally different thing to create according to someone else's guidelines. It robs me of the joy I get from the creative process. I hope your still getting all the joy the hobby provides while filling your sculpting obligations.

And this guy is cool! The only criticism I have is that the mane of hair is a little uniform with it's overall form.

So far most of my clients give me a pretty wide latitude to be creative, though most of what a I am doing is animals, so not a lot of expression other than pose.  But I like animals so, it works.  Sculpting to a deadline is the only part that gives me grief (and stress); that makes it less a hobby and more work.

His head is absolutely ace! While the body is good also it doesn feel a bit stiff Imho.

That's the epoxy, it gets really stiff after a couple of hours <JK>  ::D:

Yeah. I know it could be more dynamic of a pose.  I'd thought of a few other concepts, but this one fit the concept art from the client.

Of course mate, don't get me wrong! I think it's great but with a bit more flow/movement it could be even better! ::):

I was just thinking how cool he would look standing on his hind quarters, claws outstretched side/outwards and jaw opened in bestial rage! More anthropomorphic of course but I think it would totally rock!

I appreciate it, and thanks for the compliments.

That was my original concept actually, but we wanted a one piece cast.  That pose would require it to be at least 3 pieces.  Sometimes we are limited in what we can do by the production constraints.
