I get not being amused or happy with your vendor when errors of that magnitude happen. But, when it does happen, it's not unreasonable to see if there is a way to profit from it.

Guess who would be willing to pay a premium for a prototype error?  Me... that's who.  I'm sure I ain't the only one.  Or maybe a fun prize at RAC!!  (hint hint).  :D

Honestly, I really like the jello green.

Except that A ) Jello green was not what was promised in the Kickstarter, so it would have been a Bad Thingâ„¢ to allow this to stand and B ) Green is not what is presented in the various game systems monster descriptions, so many gamers would be very upset at being "forced" to use this one.

It may make it into the auction at some point, I guess.

Bryan I think some other posters have a great point, if you have the lime green version in sufficient quantity you could easily sell them on the website, or if they are rare enough, let them be special edition giveaways in ReaperCon bags or up for auction. It could definitely be turned into a win!

Thanks for the information. It's about what I expected had happened, and not unlike what I expected would happen. From previous comments you've made, I guess that you couldn't share that much officially on the Kickstarter site for reasons.

We probably could. There's a tricky PR balance. This may sound hard to believe, but sometimes people, when equipped with just a few more facts than they have, think they now know everything and start armchair quarterbacking - and there remain facts we consider proprietary - like which figures needed redoing, precisely, and why. Like which models are not in this shipment. Yet, there are internet pundits out there that would go off half cocked claiming that we could easily solve this if we only that, and forgetting that we have an entire business model dedicated to solving these problems as they come up - it's a huge part of my job, which I take very seriously, and I resent the amateur "solutions" that are "genius" but worthless because they do not possess all of the facts.

Then again, it's probably bad PR for me to have even said this.

I know I'm regretting bringing up the green cube. You all are WAY too excited about a defective production run that had to be destroyed.
