Brush Hooking

I've been painting for many many years, and for most of those years I've had the same detail brush. Old faithful. Well, Old Faithful finally fell apart on me. I bought two detail brushes from Reaper since. Both have hooked on me after the first use. I have no idea why. I don't ever put my brushes face down in anything, I clean them off after every application, I leave them sitting on my table touching nothing until the next use. Why are my new brushes hooking?!!!

Please help!

Typically, hooking happens on synthetic brushes and brushes with blends. Golden Talkon especially does this when used with acrylic paint on a 3D surface.  It is the primary reason I only buy WN 7 or Rosemary brushes.

If you think Reaper is providing an unsatisfactory product, I suggest contacting them.  Reaper has remarkable customer service.  Perhaps they are not aware that their brush maker has changed their product for the worse?

I've had good luck with my Reaper Master Series Kolinsky #1, though they did have to replace a #5/0 years ago that would not hold its point.  I have a couple more sizes in the same series, but haven't had a chance to try them out yet.

I know everyone has given their 2 cents at this point but which Reaper brushes did you buy?
