I entered this mini in the painting contest at Gencon but now that I look at her again I'm less happy with how she turned out over all. She still looks fine on the table but I think I could have done better on the face. Questions comments and critiques are welcome.post-7751-0-50574000-1415398201_thumb.jpgpost-7751-0-78074800-1415398264_thumb.jpg

You did a good job with her EJ.

My advice is to try to do more with thin layers of paint, work in more glazes, and try to work on your shading/highlighting.

I LOVE the pearl colored shirt and her face but the rest of the mini could use more contrast and a nice matte sealer. The gloss takes something away from most of the paint job. Still, overall it's very nice work.

Um She does have a matte seal on. Could be the fact that I take the pictures outside. But yeah the skirt in particular needs more contrast. I just wasn't sure what to do with it. The hair has contrast but I doesn't show ell in this picture. I may try to take a better one.

I painted this guy up for D&D to be my Warlock. Sadly it may be some time before he fills that role again. Photos still look a bit washed out. :( The Base should look like floorboards and they do in person.

I'm fairly happy with these two, especially how the bases turned out. Other than that, I'm still working on consistent lighting and how top make the picture look good on both the phone and on a monitor. Also I may need to get some sort of air purifier, because the amount of dust that forms and how ridiculously quick it appears, is well... ridiculous!

Thank you @malefactus for recommending this guy to me so very long ago. He was absolutely perfect for my needs. Now it's just to bad I can't get a game in.

Hmmm. his one eye looks a bit weird up close. Oh well, on the table he just looks confused.

I'll need to look up who made him again in a bit, so I can put that info in the title.

Big Boss Goblin for eventual theoretical Frostgrave. Fairly happy with his armor and jowels

I don't do WIP's very often and I'm well into a couple of these guys. But I added a couple more as I started to base the first few so I figured I might as well. Maybe it will help me keep my focus.
We have the 3 bones ogres from a kickstarter or two ago, the bones black preview ogre, metal Kagunk 2, and the bones 4 ettin. I may decide to add metal ogre chieftain (aka kagunk 1) as well as he is half finied on the shelf anyway, and metal Norr'Okk, if I can ever figure out what to do about his head.
Also considering ordering the newer ogre chieftain, but we will see.
