Twisty Wizard!

[OneBoot]

I painted up 77034 Male High Wizard for the 2014 Summer figure exchange, and he's now happily living at Siri's place. :)

This sculpt is just filled to bursting with personality, so many fun little details to paint! My favorite is the tiny lizards; the other one is just barely visible diving behind the skull in the 4th and 5th pictures.

Oh Lizards! Now i'm worried I might have cut those off as flash or something...   

 

But very nice paint job on this. Good definition, nice colors, good contrast!

Ah, the sculpt I thought was a crazed killer rabbit from the start of the first kickstarter until I got one, looked at it, and realized it was a wizard.  In all white, from the right angle and distance, the feather and his pointy hat looked like bunny ears.

Ha! Yeah, I can see how he'd appear that way. Honestly, I couldn't really tell what he looked like until I had him in-hand myself, and then it wasn't until I got a closer look that I discovered all these sweet little fun bits. Bobby Jackson really hit it out of the park with this guy. :D

Thank you! I was trying very hard to be conscious of my color choices and placement, and I think the color theory research I did while I was working on him really paid off. :D

I will. For sculpts I really love I always go metal.  as soon as the store is back up WTH  Oh well, he'll be on my 12 days order anywho.

Actually, I'm 99% sure he's only in Bones; he was one of the Kickstarter 1 figures.

 

The detail is actual surprisingly crisp, even for the little candle flame. The only part that was a bit off were the fingers on his outstretched hand; his pinky and ring finger were a wee bit short, though it looks just fine from the front side (my first picture)
