After crunching numbers for quite some time, I've realized that it would be more beneficial and cost-effective for me to drop my EB pledge in favor of the add-ons only level. This is because variety is more useful to me than lots of one kind of tile, so as fantastic as the EB is for value as far as all the awesome stuff I get with it, I went through each free thing and realized a lot of the free extras wouldn't be very useful.

I've already got dwarf minis, already have Hirst Art furniture, 2 of each kind of different tile won't be useful for gaming, I've already got more bases than I know what to do with, and I'd rather have lots of different tiles than 80 of one kind, lol.

If you've been waiting for an EB to open up, look for my EB opening up at 1:00pm Pacific Time. :)

EDIT: And it's open!

I swapped to EB. If this was yours OneBoot, then Thank you.

For everyone's info, there are 2 more EB's available

Let's say it was; that would be awesome!. :D Mine was certainly the first that opened; within a few minutes, another opened up, and when I checked back about 20 minutes after, a third had opened. I didn't mean to start a trend!

I have to say the cave tile doesn't look very cave-like. It's a nice looking stone floor, bit it isn't anything like a natural cavern. It would probably make a nice dwarven hall. I also wonder why we're getting more miniatures in a dungeon tile kickstarter. An alchemist table, animal nest, or rune tile would fit the theme better.

I like the new tile designs, but then really all I want is a variety of options so that the whole dungeon doesn't look the same.

As for the inclusion of minis... I don't mind it. They want to give some character(s) to their KS like Reaper did with Mr.Bones.

Including a mini option for their themed rooms is kind of a neat idea and it's not like its a ton of minis on offer. Plus the minis are a separate option from the rooms.

I do think they made a mistake by not unveiling more stretch goals earlier in the campaign. The rush to do so now may have come too late.

Hopefully they'll do a Stones II kickstarter down the road and feature the goals they don't reach in this one.

I like the Grimes mini. My only point is they could've used that sculpting investment for new dungeon decor. Many of us would buy more decor in a tile kickstarter than a goblin and dark dwarves. They did add a lot of decor at the same time (stalagmites, columns, etc..).

You make a good point about Mr. Bones being a similar mascot to Mr. Stones. The Bones kickstarters were both miniature projects and they both had decor options so I guess it can go both ways.

I hope we get a few more pieces in PVC. We have lots of resin and metal add ons. Maybe Stones II will have columns, crates, stalagmites and statues in PVC. If this goes well the next one could be even bigger!

This is what I had hoped for.

I need quality accessories in Stones, Bones and Dwarvenite most of all.

Small metal ones work OK but I do not want big resin accessories.

To me Stones tiles are all about throwing them in a bag or box just like Bones and Dwarvenite.  Resin is not very good at surviving the bag treatment.

Oh well we do have 43 hours for a surprise.

Same here. The durable, light, tough Stones material is what I'm most interested in. I've been trying to find out if he was planing to make the add on products in Stones from the day after it got funded and he started posting the resin and metal add ons. I'm probably driving him crazy but he's been evasive about when he will be able to transfer the material from resin and metal to Stones. He says ""if this Kickstarter does well enough" but he hasn't said when that will be. He's said that same thing many times so it may be something to look for on the last day. Either way, I'll get a lot of Stones tiles + the overlays and tablecloth. Even if the extras stay resin and metal there's a lot of other great Stones stuff to buy already.

His post about it:

Creator Frontline Games on December 6

@Coralline Algae. At the moment yes they are scheduled to be made of Resin, however if this Kiskstarter project does well enough they will be transferred to be made of the Stones material. It is our goal to have ALL of of the resin items made of the Stones material. So lets keep moving forward and spread the word

I'm going to have to drop out of this unfortunately; really sorry to be doing it at such a late stage. I've been back and forth the entire time on this project on whether or not the expenditure is worth it for me (international shipping adds quite a bit), and I think it's just wiser for me to wait until I see them in the wild and get some at retail. Besides, I just got slapped with an extra $200 the other day to fix the brakes on the car (for a moment there I toyed with the idea of skimping on brakes in favor of Kickstarter, but in the end I decided against it). I'm looking forward to hearing from you all when you get yours though.

Anyway, if anyone wants an EB, let me know within a couple of hours and we'll see what we can do.

The lair/den rooms sound like cool ideas, but I'm "cautiously optimistic" it will spike that far in the last few hours. Dead horse and all, but I wish this was ending in Jan/Feb instead of during the giant money sucking pit of the holidays. *crossing fingers*
